682 - sunny turn ahead clock Saturday

Day 682 is a gorgeous sunny Saturday, tonight we turn our clocks ahead.. and lose hour of sleep :-( We were all up early as Britt worked at 8 am. Sheldon ran her in and of course grabbed some teas.

The hutch still is smelling like smoke so we moved the lower cabinet and the dresser outside to see if the cold could kill it. I wont put the glass top out until it works.

I worked on glazing my little round table and really like the look. The little table is well used so it adds dimension and character to it more than just the paint. I think it will look very nice in a new home.

too light so added black to the mix

While I worked on the table, Sheldon changed the transmission and fuel filters and topped up transfer case oil in his truck. He also  gave the garage a quick sweep and washed a few Diego pee spots down the drains too.

He ran to town again just before 3 to drop of garbage, recycling cardboard and take to cash in bottles after her work finished at 3.

I worked on a few new projects this afternoon. Lets just say they are a work in progress. I had read lots of advice say only glaze after you have sealed your paint so you can move it around and if you don't like wash off but took anthers advice to put it after the chalk paint. Ah nope, bad advice, this creates much more work if you don't like the muddy look it creates. Well after a few applies and wipe offs I stopped to shower for our evening out meeting the Cole's.

not liking it so added another layer
We are going to try the "real" Salt and Pepper Mexican restaurant in Inglewood. It was nice, simple setting with live Mexican guitar player. We enjoyed catching up with Glen and Roxy, thanks for meeting guys. We were back home by 10:30 to visit a bit with Britt who stayed home relaxing and of course watching more TV.
