Vases galore

H was not wanting out till 6:45, I think I only woke to check the time at 2, 4 and 6 so it was a good sleep. When I let her out I found J meowing.. WTH?? I looked to check the horse door and it was closed, he must have snuck out last night but we were sure they were in. I looked again before 8 and saw the man/horse door wide open. Dang that door.

I bundled up and went to secure it and be sure the little kitties were there. Sure enough they were smart enough to stay inside. The snow was starting to fall again. After feeding H early again I made my cap and got to work on the computer.

Time to get to the garage and get some projects done. I painted the smaller chalkboard frame green and the larger blue. While they dried I mixed up some new texture powder in paint and started some vases. 3 turned into 6 and I still have lots left, jars and mix :)

This previously painted one had gotten scratched up from being stored and hauled to markets, time for a makeover.

The snow let up after 11 and by noon the sun was out and the temperature was rising melting everything. Just before 2 the mom of the gal who sent her little table to be painted arrived to pick it up and take to her daughter. Then I was back to my tasks. The vases all had 2 coats. The small frame 2 coats, wet distressed and waxed.

One of the vases was dark waxed and bronze gilding wax added then white wax.. not sure I am loving it. Taking a break from painting and napping for H we headed out into the +5 sunshine for a walk. The cats joined of course. Back at the house I started to trim trees and scoop poop. I gave H a bone to keep her busy and soaked beet pulp before I went inside to make hamburger soup at 4.

see almost all the snow is gone yet again

Once the soup was simmering I put the frame and chalkboard glass together and staged a few pics.

I rounded up the bones to put in fridge for tomorrow then gave her supper at 5:30. B and C arrived at 6 to join me for soup. She fed Bird then was headed home. I was working on computer work when K called that Lexi's eye was worse. I called a vet while she was on hold and tried to help get a plan set. Her poor eye is bad. After all the calls it turns out the vet says to keep her on pain killer metacam till her surgery Monday. :(

Did you know dogs benefit from seeds and nuts but they must be fermented and ground in order to digest properly? I made a batch of pumpkin and sunflower up for ferment overnight for H. I worked on my painting spreadsheet. The wind picked up and snow started again after 9, brrr. It isn't really cold at -4 but the wind makes it yucky. The ground was covered when Shaina arrived home at 11:45 as I was shutting off my ipad.

SNOW!

UGH, sleep is needed but I was awake a few times after finally falling asleep near 4 am then to let H out at 6. She was out quick in the snow that accumulated overnight and back in the front door and into her kennel then I crawled back into bed awake at 7:30. I fed her early at 8 and made my cap to get on with the day. The snow had taken out the satellite so went out to dust off.

Before heading to town to look at some rental properties I took the cats some raw deer and opened their door for the day. I was off to town after 11 meeting the agent to check out 4 places. Some have potential for sure. I quickly let Cooper out after noon before heading to the last one. Then it was errand time; Walmart for cat food, pet store for probiotics, a long unresolved stop at the bank leaving with an online advisor appt next week, a swing thru Tims to get a tea and a sandwich for a late lunch then on the road home. I tried to get he mail but could not find my keys, and I had a real search for B's house keys before I left too, not my key day :) Home before 3 to unload and eat my lunch.

Not sure which one to get so got them both.. metal edge yellow and black/red plastic 1/2 price

I was catching up on computer work when I saw the paint parcel was delivered at 10:45 email.. what?? It wasn't at the gate when I left after 11 I almost swear and I did not look behind the pillar when I drove in. I hoped in the truck and drove down to find it. Back at the house I opened and found non of the paint frozen thank goodness even though it is -2.

I published the tutorial for the nightstand and shared in a few places. As I was working onthe computer I watched a coyote hunting mice along the south fencelike, branchy fellow. Time to take clingy Harley  outside and check the kitties were not that way. We ; H, Luna, Roo and I with Switch and Bird trailing behind went for a walk down the lane and back. Such a funny gaggle of peeps. The sun tried to peek out which was nice and it was just above zero now. Back at the house I shoveled the decks, scooped poop and gave H a nice brush. It was now 5 and H was sure hungry so I fed her early and made B's beet pulp up.

watch these 3 videos for a laugh

there was one animal that loved it snowed again

I finished the chili for supper and worked on some marketing and yesterdays blog posted. Britt and Cooper were out later at 6:30 today. She brought along the x-ray machine and I was her assistant for the next 2 hours. We took x-rays of Miss Roo back hocks and feet who of course took the longest as she has to fidget. Bird's front feet and stifle was the next up followed by Switch's front feet. Everything looked good according to the RVT.

We loaded the stuff all up, tucked the cats in for the night then she was off for home. Snow crystals were starting again. I jumped in the shower, did a bit more computer work then into bed with the iPad. I shut the lights out before 11 hoping to get a good sleep!

Cooper day .. cool and dreary

Another day another early morning. I did a few clock checks in the night and awake at 6:30 letting H out. After putting her in the garage I could not fall back asleep so peruse Instagram for a bit waiting for Cooper's drop off just before 8. B was late today so no chai or muffin ;( I fed H early at 8 then let the dogs out for awhile although it was bluster overcast plus 1 out. I let the cats out too and fed them before hustling inside.

Back inside to the kennels for the dogs, I got my cappuccinos going and finished replying to the comments on my CM blog. The giveaway went live on my Facebook page this am so started to track all the entries. Then it was out to the garage to start sanding the dresser but decided to wait to haul out so I can do the entire top too. The drawers were put back in except one with a broken edge which I repaired.

Then 2 chalkboard projects were started. A late lunch with a warm bowl of chili on a dreary chilly (now plus 9 but feels like -9) day. Then I got back to writing tutorials and getting the latest ones shared on linky parties.

I am awaiting my first doctor phone call of this covid pandemic supposedly between 1-3. Seeing I could not take the dogs for a walk I gave them bones to chew on. H got a big scapula that created quite a mess on the garage carpet so I sent her outside in the chilly wind. I found the painted art frame bubbling so removed the backing ad popped out the print. I found a board to cut and paint to replace it but did not want to leave the house.

Eventually at 3:45 I thought I best do so in order to get it painted so bundled up and out to the barn. I got the saw set up and ready to cut when Dr M called. She confirmed vertigo most likely was a ear issue and suggested head over steamy bowl then take a decongestant next time. She also send prescriptions in for a shingles vaccine like S had a few weeks back and sleeping pills saying there is not much left if all the melatonin type attempts failed.

After the call ended I cut up the board and headed back to the garage stopping to scoop multiple piles of dog poop. Sheesh lol. Inside I sanded the edges and was about to throw the print away only to find it was on a separate backing. Dang it, I could have saved my time, effort and board and just use it. So I painted its first coat and the glass a 3rd coat.

I invited Britt to join me for the last Hello Fresh meal; the salmon. She arrived after 6 bringing me a tea ;) thanks. She fed Bird the soaked beet pulp I made while I cooked it up. We then enjoyed it together. She visited for a bit, weighed Cooper - 53 pounds, for his pre raw diet weight then put the kitties away before heading home at 7:30.

I worked on research and blog posts while finishing listening to online raw feeding course. Heading to bed after 9 I crawled in to watch more YouTube and listening to a sleep podcast. I was getting tired after 10 so shut it off only to find myself now awake so I watched an Outlander episode till midnight and the power flickered. I got up to get a snack to find that the forecast snow had indeed came and it was like a mini whiteout outside! Sleep still eluded me so onto more online research with me going to the car and grabbing 2 melatonin I had packed up to return to Costco after 2. At 3:30 I was still watching the clock and listening to another sleep podcast ;(

Sauerkraut eating dog

Same old morning with H going out at 6:20, around to the garage then up to feed at 8:30. Today I started a new product to help grow my lashes purchased from the soon to be new owner of Sugar Me!!

I prepped a cap and got to work on marketing after letting the cats out. This morphed into accounting with another cap. Shaina was up for hers then off to calls. I also started changing our address, our mailing now correlates with our blue sign marker. We also have a new town and postal code for anyone needing it :) Kaylin text to say Lexi is getting in earlier for her surgery on march 29 which is good as her eye is getting worse she says.

always a fav spot to rest

Shaina ate a bowl of oatmeal then off to town for chiro and gym work out before 1. I took a break from my accounting to go out and work on the long dresser. More wood filler was added to the top, the side was sanded and more added there too. It looks like it is not getting any warmer then 6 so the cats, H and I did a loop around the west to try and stay out of the brisk wind. At least the sun was shining I guess. Back at the house the kitties got some deer meat and H her kong while I did more research.

Shaina was back before 4 with a surprise chai tea for me, THANK YOU! I continued on with my computer work and washing up snowsuits seeing it is now spring. For supper I chose to make a big pot of chili inviting B to join us. Harley was so hungry and impatient tonight but when she got her food she wolfed it down including sauerkraut!

B arrived after 6 scooping poop and some extra, thanks. H went out with Coop and B came in for supper. Shaina was finished her calls now and we all had a nice meal together. She packed up after supper and headed to Banff at 7 for the week taking her friend Jacob a bowl of chili too. B went to feed Bird with the beet pulp I soaked for her when feeding H then she and Cooper were off after 7:30. Coop will be back for his daycare day tomorrow.

I created a giveaway graphic earlier today and got the post done for Instagram for tonight and scheduled on Facebook for tomorrow morning. I totally forgot a giveaway blog post so wrote one after supper. I shared on a few groups hoping to drum up new followers and future buyers. More computer work writing a Hometalk tutorial for the hardwood fix then off heading to bed at 9 but wanted to check a setting on the blog. inadvertently I clicked on comments only to find 1400 were waiting to be approved!! OH MY GOSH and here I thought no one ever commented!! SO for the next 2 + hours I cleaned them up (3/4 were spam) and started replying to about 150 of them before heading to bed after midnight. I of course had to watch a few YouTubes and listen to an Oprah podcast before falling asleep after 1 am.
