Over 10,000 step day for LA

Today I served the prince his coffee in bed as he had a nice sleep in. Another relaxing day in his week off. Before lunch he did go out with his house slippers and take down the Christmas decorations still on the front deck. Just the rail lights left up now as he got the gate decorations the other day on the skidoo. The warm wind thru the night has melted allot of the snow and looks like today will be more as it was PLUS 4 upon waking.

Britt and Cooper popped out at 1:30 as I was finishing up dark waxing the dining table and S organizing his filter shelf. She and I went for over 3 kms walking out to give horses pills, feed the cats, walk the dogs around the perimeter then let the horses out for an adventure in the big field for awhile. Such a great day for a walk. Our thermometer says it hit PLUS 9 but not sure if true. B and Cooper headed for home after 3 leaving me to enjoy a cold beer and work on the blog.

S left in the ranger to go call coyotes as Britt and I were hiking the north side of the pasture. He was back after 4 with no sightings but the horses sure were attentive to his call machine. I worked on marketing. We are having steak again since it is so nice out. I took the carrot peels out to the horses and not long after they broke thru the yard hot wire. Lola and I sent them back out right away and S put a new handle on the gate and got it back running.

S submitted his photo for the blog of the old house he thinks looks Dr Suess-ish

Super was epic as usual ;) I made us a yummy cappuccino S watched the all star hockey games while I worked on tutorials and the blog. I wrote a tutorial for the latest white growth ruler and shared with appropriate affiliates and their websites. After the hockey ended we watched the last 2 episodes of Yellowstone.

Warm day

This morning I have the two littlest Paetz's while AJ is class mom. She was running a bit behind but had them here before 9 as we were on coffee #2. It was a fun morning playing all kinds of imaginary games with these two. S did head out to load his truck with recyclables and garbage around 11.

 this one loves to "cheese"!

But the other one likes to do funny faces so she follows

Amanda was back at 11:30 staying for a half hour visit before heading off home.

After a nap and a cappuccino S was off to town with his recyclables, trash and errand list around 1:30. I painted the table base another coat of the light grey then rearranged and swept the north end of the garage to make room for my new spray tent.

Seeing the horses had not come for water I trudged out to the far tree line with their pills. It is a beauty day out hitting PLUS 7. Seeing it was so nice I took out the scrubbed up blue bottles and replaced and filled the bottle tree.

Then I hauled some horse blankets to the barn, filled the salt tub and then pruned a few branches that I noticed crossing. S pulled in as I was doing so after 4. We unloaded groceries, opened mail and ate the Vietnamese he brought home for supper.

After supper I made homemade brownies for a treat. For our Friday night fun we watched 4 more Yellowstone episodes with a yummy smoothie. The warm chinook wind picked up and rain even blew in.

Vanity complete

It was -4 when I looked in the night and -6 when we awoke and had coffee. Still better then last week I guess. My morning marketing has the Etsy order still in limbo seeing it was such a large order. I am guessing the order would put out an alert when the shipping added to more then products but that will be adjusted once the order is complete.

S moved from bed to island to big brown with his internet searching. I did get his help to drill new hardware holes on the vanity. His vote was for the full pulls not the circle pulls so that is what we went with. Thanks for your help prince. I updated the pulls with antique gold rub and buff and let dry. The horses got their pills when in for water. They are sure enjoying this weather change.

I had S help me haul in the vanity then I fit drawer liners in and put on the hardware after a bite for lunch. S napped after lunch but eventually headed outside to take a rip on the skidoo to look for coyotes around 3:30 as I was painting the table base. The day was warming up above zero.

I finished up the table coming in to do a bit of marketing when S returned about an hour later picking up my Wagner parcel at the gate. He only saw 1 coyote and was not able to get close enough. While I had my chicken supper cooking I wrote a tutorial for the navy silverware chest.

The days high hit PLUS 4 at 6:30 with tomorrow promised to be the warmest day this week. I kept working on marketing, adding more posts to my Pinterest $$ board. Be sure to go have a look. I get reports that show if you do pin posts but you only have to click on them for me to get paid ;)

We started a new series called Yellowstone, Debby loaned us the DVD's to and really enjoyed it watching the first disc of 3 episodes. This is the series young Teren Turner had a cameo part in last year.

Fridge cleaned

Usual coffee start and marketing. I had a 8 piece order from Hometalk for their new market project but it has not been paid. I did haul all the pieces up and found a box but will not package until paid. The horses were in for water so I ran out to give pills. It was around zero so seemed quite lovely after that cold snap.

While the prince slumbered in big brown after lunch I got busy cleaning out the fridge. And a deep clean at that. Once he woke before 2 I had him help me pull it out seeing it was empty and get behind cleaned. It was no where as dirty as I thought 8 years would be. All was vacuumed and washed down and slid back in then the rest of the cleaning completed. It took 2 hours but so worth it.

This is 8 years of dust, I was expecting lots more and dog hair ;)

cleaning chaos

Prince went outside to do things with the ranger, his gun and the skidoo seeing snow was too deep for ranger. He also screwed the door sweep on the closest horse door and added a couple more bolts to the door chain. After completing the fridge I went to the garage and dark waxed the vanity then did wee touch ups on the dining table. I do not believe I will use that product over existing finishes in the future. I made goulash for supper then S cruised the net while I had a tub before we caught up on 2 Vikings episodes.
