Chair project on the go

H went out at 2 am quick so had a sleep in. It was a pretty sunrise when I fed Harley breakfast before 8:30 and then let her out. S has lab and xray tests today so is fasting so no coffee served in bed. I did make a couple caps and got busy marketing quick and laundry going as well as garage tidy. S organized sausage supplies then got busy sorting his bison and weighing after letting kitties out. He will meet his buyers Monday so fingers crossed the weather stays freezing as stored in the merc till then as all freezer space is taken here. I vacuumed the main floor including the dusty stairwell.

S headed to town before noon to do a few errands before his appointments. I continued my cleaning then headed out to prep the desk for pick up. The fellow arrived before 2 with his work truck. It had a slid out deck which he had a tarp he unfolded and put under it. We loaded all the pieces and he wrapped them up with said tarp. I really am worried about the paint job after this but guess we will see. It took awhile to get it all loaded and ready to go but eventually he was off along with a little pot of touch up paint after one wood filled edge was already dinged.

Seeing it was such a beautiful sunny day albeit chilly with a high of MINUS 3 I took H for her daily walk. We found one of the toys out in the field so that was fun fetch walk. Back at the house I finished the vacuuming and laundry. S was home from town to unload and have a nap on the couch. I went to garage and pulled out one of the white painted chairs to finish. I decided on a fun soft yellow.

With sausage making planned for Sunday, S took out his hind deer legs to thaw and tubs of frozen meat to thaw. This had Harley right out of sorts again. I cooked up a delicious favorite steelhead trout supper.

After cleaning up supper I was off to soak in the tub while watching an episode of The Boys. Britt stopped out with Cooper quick around 7:30, short visit and off to start watching The Pack. S crawled into bed and after I got dozy watching The Pack and shut it off at 8:30 he too put his phone away and fell fast asleep. My sleep did not last as per usual. At 10:30 H was alerting me to an infiltrator and we found Shaina trying to unlock the front door ;) She headed to her room and I back to my iPad till 1:30 with only the final episode to go for the Pack season 1.

K is back to the city.

H was not even wanting out when I woke after 8 but eventually she went out and around to eat. Today we are starting another round of probiotics to help her gas issues ;) We also let the kitties out after my first cappuccino and some marketing. I went out and redid the front desk drawers as there were a couple of areas that caught my eye. I put the hardware back on as well too.

Kaylin got her laundry going once up and at it then finished work on her business proposal. S arrived back home after 12 as I was cooking up some lunch. Perfect timing :) After eating I was back out touching up the desk, UGH and hand painting under the front edge. A gal who had bison S brought back stopped out after lunch. S helped her load and visited in the sunshine.

Kaylin and Lexi headed back to the city living at 2:30. After a rest S sorted and put our bison in the little freezer while I tidied the garage. We had a beverage then I took Harley for a walk at 4, structured first then free for the way back. We played some ball before the second fellow arrived for meat. I put the kitties away and came in while Sheldon helped him load and visit for a bit. The fellow was very kind and gave him a bottle of booze for his transportation, thanks buddy. The provincial announcement was disappointing for Kaylin who hoped to be back to work Monday having to wait yet another 2 weeks of closure ;(

Supper was delicious steaks on the barbeque seeing it was such a nice day. Britt was out after 7 to clean up any leftovers then back to town. S and I started season 3 of Yellowstone which is available on Amazon prime video. We watched 3 episodes then S was off to sleep leaving me to watch another episode of The Pack.

S is off on a road trip

H went out after 7 then back into kennel. Not sure if she is still feeling off but she did go back to sleep. S started coffee late after 9. He is making a big old road trip today thru Oyen, Kindersley, Acadia Valley and possibly even Medicine Hat. He chugged coffee and a bowl of cereal to get his day going. I did some quick marketing. He started out after 10 stopping by to pick up a Christmas gift I had ordered and will take to Mom and Dad's however he was back to use the washroom before his big road trip. It did allow me to see the custom made cookies before being delivered. I got to work clear coating the desk.

These are custom ordered sugar cookies made by a local lady, check her out at Mamas Sweet Cookie Co. These are not her usual cookie creations but rather an artistic interpretation.

He was off again at 11 getting fuel on way thru town then first stop at Mom and Dad's where she has lunch planned for him. I finished up the clear coat and came in at noon. Kaylin and Lexi were up soon after to get her iced coffee going. Gail picked her up at 1 to go on a vinyl pick up.

It was a nice enough day out even though no real sunshine but did hit PLUS 5. I took the dogs and cats for a walk then spent some time scooping poop from all around the house as the snow is melting. Kaylin text she was at Costco so came in to get her a list. Thanks girls for that!

I worked on some accounting and marketing then went out to see the desk. The clear coat was dry and a bit streaky but when I gave it a light sanding white specks appeared, WTH! Was it the paint? the paintbrush? the clear coat? I proceeded to sand it all and hand scrape off the white specks. I grabbed the partial jar of black Fusion paint (I did not use it to start as not enough for this enormous desk) added a bit of water and got painting. The sanding took an hour and the painting of it another hour. Had I had a full jar of Fusion I would have saved myself 3 hours of work.

I finished at 6:30, came in and ate the left over pork chop. Kaylin and Gail were back after 7 unloaded my few groceries and Gail was off. B pulled in not long after but just dropped off her dying fiddle leaf, let Cooper poop and play for 10 minutes and was on her way home to eat. It was a quiet evening with the usual marketing then off to relax with some shows. Sheldon text he did go to the Hat after getting bison in Kindersley and will stay the night at Ma & Pa K's. I  watched an episode of The Boys then started a new series called The Pack which is fun. It is amazing race with dogs!

January 5 - it's a Tuesday

Coffee in bed time after I was up to let Harley out and back in to nap. She did not eat until well after a few coffees. Shaina was up early too with meetings at 9 am and needing a cappuccino. I got busy on the desk and painted a second coat on. S let he kitties out and played some ball with Harley then rolled a bale for the horses.

B and Cooper were out after lunch to feed Bird and visit. Kaylin kindly did my sugaring, THANK YOU!! Shaina headed off to the city for the night after doing an online workout with Sharon. She has a presentation to do in the am and not trusting the internet went to the big metropolis. Or at least I thought she was going there but actually went to Banff ;) S and I opened out gifts from Medicine Hat. THANK YOU!!

B and K were playing some skip bo. Poor Harley puked on the floor after playing outside and was under the weather for the rest of the day. B headed off to get groceries so S and I stepped in to play. I cooked supper as we played. B was back to join us for supper then she was off to my room for an online zoom call. I worked on S's new business logo and catching up the blog while S headed to TV room and K to couch. B was off for home around 7:30 putting the kitties away before doing so yet again, thanks B. I moved to bed to watch on my iPad. S was up to bed after Canada lost to USA in the gold juniors game.
