shoppers and "nice" clothes kinda day

Today I need to put on nice clothes and makeup. First call of the day was at 9 am with the lady coming to see my wares who wanted the chair (that the sister bought her). I unboxed and set up my "store" for her viewing pleasure. She was here around 10:30 and had a nice visit. She is hoping to take a paint class from me and will ponder all the things she saw and stop at Katy's too. On the way out she stopped to visit the horses. Most were cautious but Roo then Switch went to greet her. Guess we know who could be kidnapped first!

Not long after around noon, the gal with the warped french provincial stuff stopped to pick it up. We got it all jenga'd back in her vehicle and on her way. Another gorgeous non windy day hitting 12!! Now it was time to cook my bacon for a bacon tomato sandwich.. yummy.

Kristi messaged they were heading out from the city and were stopping to pick up the coffee and end table. I hustled to get the tables pulled close to the stairs and rearranged more pieces before they arrived. We (Ron and Jaylene too) had a good visit before getting the solid tables loaded up and they were off to shop Strathmore before heading home, THANKS guys!!

Time to update pages and do some marketing, Christmas is a coming and people are a looking. Chicken curry for supper day 5 is it?? but now all gone ; ) I scrubbed up the bread box then headed in to change out of my "nice" clothes to start painting it and the press back chair.

I got the first coat on , let it dry while finishing up the rustic decor blog post then put on second, wet distressed and called it quits at 10 to come in and update and watch my buddies at Grey's. I am almost at the end of season 11 and hit the *spoiler alert* sad part of the show. The table gal messaged after 11 she FINALLY picked up the tables, thanks girls for being patient and helpful on this.

Desk staged and another pretty sunset

I awoke to a text from the table girl, she sent at 2 am saying she had moving issues and a cat vet issue that had her tyed up but would be there today between 11-1. By noon she still did not reply to confirm this yet I have the girls all prepared for her arrival. What is with some people, do they honestly not think a quick reply is in order if plans change? On the plus side she sent the remaining $ owed so they are paid in full but are sitting in the girls entry way waiting.

Today's projects started with hand painting the custom ruler. Once it was all done I snapped a few photos but the customer wants it not posted till after Christmas, but I can post here ;)

Once it was all finished I wrote a blog post for the custom cream cabinet and started on a few more. I hauled in the desk and got it set up to stage.

Shaina popped out after her training session in town. She kindly picked up the antique chair that sold the other night and was still at the boutique. Thanks Dude! XOXO We had a quick visit before she jetted off to the city. The table gal messaged she will meet her there around 4, again not holding breath lol.

What a gorgeous day out at 12 degrees and NO WIND. The girl messaged she was at the house but no one home, I could not get Shaina on the phone but when I did she said she had put them in the back yard but the gal had left. Oh my goodness these tables.

I was scrubbing up 2 chairs to paint when I noticed yet another amazing sunset. The horses were having fun bucking and rearing so I went out to snap a few pics and say hello. Then I was back to scrubbing the chairs and left them to dry.

Inside I wrote up another blog post, this one for the wood bunny. Now to get them linked on parties. I also created some cool new video graphics and got them all loaded up too on social media. Sharon then called for her hour tech support, this time it was to set up her Etsy account. I ate a late after 8 bowl of chicken curry, yep day 3 when I remembered I took out bacon for a BLT lol oh well tomorrow it will be eaten.

Grey's kept me awake till late but by 12 the table girl still had not gotten them so Shaina took back inside ;/

back to painting

Up at 8 and ready to get back to actual painting. I decided that instead of going conservative on the desk I have sanded ready to go, I would try the new paint I won and go with a fun young look as the desk is small. Shades of blue and green went on.

The end table gal promised to be at the girls house by 11:30 but by 12:15 she was a no show. What is wrong with people these days. Thanks goodness she had to pay half down as it should be an incentive to actually follow through on her purchase. Waiting to see what she has for an excuse this time.

The day was spent quietly working on the desk painting, sanding, sealing in 2 coats of poly, waxing, dark wax detailing, hardware updating and finally putting back together. In the dry times I sanded the ruler again and sealed both sides before hand painting tomorrow.

tried to get the black knobs to match with paint but no luck so scrubbed them back to original black

I did get a call from the "sister" who wanted the chair of the buyer from last night. She was disappointed it was sold but said she would still like to come out Friday to look for something for her sister ;)

The sunset was spectacular tonight, shifting colors for quite awhile. The skies are fabulous from this view so often. The Chinook is here all week they say, today was 5 and up.

I wrapped up the desk at 8 pm and came in to work on the blog. I wrote one for recent salt & peppers and todays.

sneak peek I posted on IG and FB had lots of interest in no time

and more sales... happy dance

So first morning all alone, no kids, dogs or snores and I am awake before 7:30 ;/, crazy. I did get computer work underway with a coffee or two and a few more things packed up to take in the boutique. The wind started to pick up as I was off to town after 11. First stop was to the boutique to drop off the items. The green chair sold!

Next off to the post office, woah thee was a long line up there for packages. It took almost half hour to get my parcel dropped and one in picked up. Finally the giveaway prize I won over a month ago.

Off to deposit my recent sales $$ using my new ATB bank card for the first time then go to Walmart. I had luck finding some of the things on the kids lists , picked up some groceries and ran into a friend for a catch up visit in the aisle. Even though it was mid day on a tuesday there were too many people there, time to head home. I stopped by DQ to get late lunch and chowed it down on route home. I grabbed the mail and dumped the stinky trash on my way by.

Cold yucky wind continued most of the day making it crappy to haul all my goodies in but got it done with s strawberry sundae as a reward.. ;) Hot chocolate might have been better choice! Kaylin and Britt are coming for supper after Lexi's vet visit so I cooked up some yummy coconut curry chicken for us. Donna Mae stopped to drop off some old hardware and the wind finally had died down. The girls arrived around 5:30. Supper, a visit, they found their Christmas decorations and tree from in the storage trailer and loaded up leftovers and soup and sausage and a few other necessities and they were headed back to the city after 7. K did find some wee little mice may have adapted her wreaths design.. dam! looks like S has a project once home!!

had to try the snowman filter on Snapchat, always good for a chuckle

With my ipad I worked on my marketing. A lady messaged to buy the semi deconstructed chair sneakily for her sister who was planning to come see it. She lives in Red Deer so will be a juggle to get it but she called with her credit card right away. So then it was taking down all the ads, another wahoo!!
