Lola gets staples out & mountain trail ride

Today is staple removal day. After her meds and walk and a coffee we loaded Lola up in the merc and were off to her staple removal appointment at 10:30. They were behind of course but she was back out and good to go after 11. We swung thru town to pick up a part for the RO system, drop off tax papers and grab an ice cap then home picking up the mail on way by.

At the ranch we had leftovers quick, loaded up some snacks and beverages, tack and then the horses and were on our way to meet Shaina by 1. She met us at the usual meeting spot: parking lot in Bragg Creek. It took us just a little over an hour so we had a bit of time to wait for her so S grabbed some lime clamato, have your tried it? We were out at the trail head, unloaded and tacked up in short order.

We had a fairly easy 3 hour ride (there were a couple of boggy wet spots) and back at the trailer around 5:30. Untacked and to the river where Shaina did her kind duty of getting in the frigid mountain water and bucketing off the hroses. We tried to enjoy a snack and beverage but the mosquitos were bad. We loaded them up and enjoyed the rest of our snacks on the way back to town. LOADS of vehicles were making there way towards us as we left, good timing.

THANKS Shaina for bearing the ice cold water to bucket all 3 XOXO

yep cheeks still full of food.. this time Shaina's homemade muffin he was sharing with Switch

Shaina was off to Banff and us home. Britt was at the ranch doing her horse duties then kindly hosed KD after S hosed Pepper. Ointment was put on there tree scrapes then they were released. I had let Switch out and gotten Lola off the deck after long day of confinement. Cooper was thrilled again to see her but no play time allowed. B put both horses away and was off for home.

Time for a shower, give Lola her pills and watch some Queer Eye with a bowl of fruit and yogurt for supper. S caught up on internet, work stuff and Scrabble with an added bowl of KD with the yogurt/fruit.
