comment issues?

so it seems some have been commenting but not in the correct area and others are having issues getting the comments to work. I am not sure if a blogger issue but will email them to ask. At the bottom of each post there is a small link that usually says no comments, you need to click on it to open the comment box and post either as yourself if you have a google account or you can be anonymous.
this is what the comment box should look like
and this shows e how many have looked at the page  which is a big increase :-) and commented on which posts, perhaps I will try and do a few more posts. Please try and comment on this if you can or email me if you cant. Thanks for those who have contacted me about it.

April 19th - Easter weekend

Since the last post a few things have happened, Britt has attended another concert, Florida Georgia Line this time and saw the most scary movie Oculus. She now has 10 days off for Easter break. Shaina has continued to test drive her new car getting lost in Calgary for the first time she claims due to incorrect GPS instructions :-)

I have been very busy in the shop finishing the stereo cabinet turned bar and staging it

I stripped, sanded and stained a vintage end table for a customer
painted up a new chair for our entry way
gave a quick makeover to a vintage frame and added scrap book paper to complete the dry erase memo board
updated a bright silver cook book holder to a soft oil rubbed bronze finish

painted a round pine table for a client
painted a frame the coral I used on one of the colorful chairs
moved all my current sale items down stairs to make room for some well needed space
ok I am actually bringing in a new piece ;-)

I also did some banana baling after cleaning the deep freeze and love the idea of using those shower caps from hotels you never use as the quick covers, keeps fresh and easier than saran wrap
Kaylin and Aaron came out last night for Good Friday Easter supper. I had marinated steak but as the day wore on and light snow fell, a full fledged storm blew in around supper time changing my plans to broiled steak! I had a pot of homemade turkey soup on which was nice on a cold miserable day to start the meal. The girls enjoyed their traditional chocolate Easter egg hunt but Kaylin managed to only find half what the other two did as she took time to start eating her finds.
this was the crappy storm rolling in

Grama & Papa's traditional socks and 1 lb bunnies, THANKS and Easter bunny left some goodies for the girls

the egg hunt.. see one they missed?? also see the lovely weather in the background too ;-(

this was what I awoke to..
Shaina's gold acupressure seeds I removed today
the sun melted all the snow so time for breakfast
and then a nap in the sunshine
the sun did not stay all day sadly but after work today Shaina went riding with Britt
not long after they put the horses away it seems 4 were out by the house, they pushed on a rail to get at a bale and this was the end result! dang trouble makers! baler twine to the rescue till the hired man gets home!
Tomorrow is Easter Sunday, we will not be having turkey but will be thinking of all who are, God Bless you all. If you did not see this on my face book page, check out this lovely song by a Canadian who rewrote the wordes for Hallelujah for Easter.

1079 - been awhile,it is now April 15th!

So from Day 1079 till today I have gave up on blogging, it seems only 3 followers have noticed it no longer happening and have commented HOWEVER they are my husband and his parents! LOL

so I just loaded the pictures for the last 2 posts which I had written just not uploaded photos yet and it took a chunk of time of course. I think I will just do highlights throughout the month and see if anyone is following them, if not perhaps the time has come to close the blog. Please COMMENT on this post if you want to see any future posts. :-)

awoke to this on the morning of April 9th.. boo
Lexi and her parents joined us and Grama and Papa for an early Easter supper

 my afternoon company
Sheldon puts together yet another tool that has been in a box for a bit when I required a board for the bar project
but it seems his old adage measure twice and cut once required more measuring and more cutting!
the chairs finished in the fun colors

and a vintage frame for a young bride for her seating chart
this is really big at 52*28
so this is a bit of what has been happening as the weather continues to melt the snow. Britt has been practicing for the Mane Event while Shaina has enjoyed a w/e in Banff boarding and socializing. Sheldon returned to camp early this am for the week.

Dont forget to comment!!

1078 - sale Monday & Diego turns 7

Day 1078 I was up early at 7, thinking about tidying house etc for my days roster. Britt was off to school late while Shaina ate breakfast and was off to work for 10. I had my first customer arrive just after 10 to look at the blue painted chair and decide on colors for other 3. She was off to town to pick the other 3 colors. I put soup bones on for homemade soup for supper.

the hibiscus I threw in garage to go dormant, guess what, it wanted to bloom!! how pretty.  and the colors she returned with, fun!
Soon another gal stopped for a bag of comics and another to pickup the frame I recently finished. It was so nice out I was sweeping the deck when both arrived so able to hand deliver to their car doors while the birthday boy greeted them all.

Today Diego turns 7 years old. For a corso he is not elderly but with his shots he keeps quite youthful. For a 175 lb old man :-)
here he is with his "birthday cake"
 our wee lake
Time to get to work in the shop doing more repairs and wood filling on the old round table and stereo. I needed to get some sunshine as it was another gorgeous plus 12 day so out to scoop dog poop it was. All the while more horse tack and dog bedding was being washed. A very good customer stopped out with her kids to pick up the folding table and 2 kids chairs.
I waxed the heavy end table and once dry buffed it up. Shaina helped me move it into the house after she was home from work. I cleaned the boot rack and swept the garage and decks again, seems that with the melting and dogs it will continue to be dirty right after I sweep but it feels good at the time. I did human laundry inside and outside in garage getting winter wear put away!! Also need it all to look shiny for the Prince's arrival tomorrow :-)

I forced Shaina to pack up her dishes which have graced the entry for a month from Amanda's move and we took them and the snorkel gear back to the storage trailer. I grabbed the 3 chairs I am consigned to paint while out there. She then rode Baby and fed the 2 chubby horses before heading back inside. Matt dropped off a side table he brought from AV for me to refinish.
Britt worked after school till 8:30 so Shaina and I had supper together. She later made kale chips for a snack. One of her new favorite snacks.
