Fundraiser concert

Har wanted out at 2. It was full fledged ice fog in the air. Then again at 4:30. I was watching her and she was eating grass. I remembered her new ball went outside and not back in. So I ventured out in my PJ's to find it. I left her in garage. Cooper was dropped off at usual 6:45. When I went to feed them I found she had puked in her kennel and a couple places in the garage. This explains why she was out so much, poor girl. Coffee and last of the cream of wheat for S. I did marketing while S perused the online news and organizing last of pickups and payments.

He took the truck to town to wash it and the trailer after being drug for 10 hours in a snowstorm. I went to the garage and started sanding the MCM dresser. Back at the computer I searched for Festool black Friday sales but nothing. I was booking a rental car for Palm Springs when S got back home after 12. Mini van booked! I made us grilled cheese (& bologna for S) and a crunchy salad.

More sanding on the dresser and fronts. Garage laundry had a few loads. S set up the other new smart lightbulb in the barn. We then hit the hot tub quick. Beauty sunshine out. I put the stools, dining table, MCM dresser and desk on Black Friday sales. Fingers crossed.

original finish, mid sanding and fully sanded drawers

One of the second last buyers arrived as we jumped out of the shower. He and his daughter. They picked up 3 bags. One for another guy who ended up sick and another working. The last bag guy was not able to pick up today so we moved to next in the waiting line - Murray Paetz. They visited with a icy stimulant (not the daughter) before they set off before 5. I fed the dogs before we headed to town. The last bag of bison was dropped at Paetz's.

Our evening out was next. It was a fundraiser for the Wheatland Hospice. Hosted by Drew Gregory with 3 other artists. The meal was good but the music better. And the price of drinks at the Legion were way more economical then most place. We bought raffle and chase the ace tickets. Low and behold my ticket won. S went and played trying to find the ace. He returned with drinks for the table :) Thanks for the invite Matt! Another crazy thing, a lady at our table turned out to know Auntie Mindy and Uncle Don. Her little sister dated Ashley. The night wrapped up and we were home by 11. We finished the Book Club movie before lights out.

Meat pick ups

look at this big girl at Costco

She's vacation ready

another missed video to share

S went down to zoom exercise class. I wrote a tutorial for the high chair. I was posting to all the sites and places needed when he came up. He changed, jumped in skid steer and rolled out the last part of the bale. Once the horses were lured into the winter pastures the gate was shut. The main gates were opened for todays bison pick ups. He then was off to shinny.

I continued on tutorial writing to catch up. Yvonne arrived not long after S left. She and I visited till after 1. With her bag and that of another red deer guys she was off. Next up I did more research on a new computer. After multiple calls with apple and cancelling an order thru Costco I ordered directly from Apple a new iMac. I am going all in for Apple ware.

S was back with some veggies for taco supper. Two more bison customers arrived for pick up. I wrote a Hometalk post for the red coat rack. I worked on the bison accounting sheet as the new admin girl. Another buyer came as I was making tacos for supper. I was back to the sheet. The sheet shows bison raising is like farming - it is up and down but usually is a wash in the end lol. B arrived to eat, feed her horse and take Cooper home. The final buyer arrived before 8:30. No hot tub again. It has been crazy busy so time to relax and start a movie - The Book Club Next Chapter. Crazy Jane Fonda is 86 years old. She has had allot of work though to look like she does. We could not finish so will conclude tomorrow night.

Another bison meat run

a few photos and videos I am not sure I shared of our sweet Renn

this out take from Halloween, heating the pumpkin with warm water was the suggestion from Auntie Manda after photo

a few videos too, she is getting more handsy and chewy now

We were up early getting ready to head east. Coffee and porridge for S while I fed H and got her out quick. B will come check on her today when she feeds Bird and feed Har supper too. We were out of the yard just after 8:30. Snow started to come down about 30 minutes out and increased as we went. S has been wanting to buy pheasant & turkey feathers for his bison heads. Be darned if we did not pass a turkey farm and a couple pheasants on the side of the road. A few deer, a red fox were other wildlife seen along the route.

The roads were super icy. We slide into the Youngstown intersection road then slid completely across the 570/Oyen one. S dropped me at Dad's new place just before noon. He continued on to Kindersley to deliver the high chair and pick up bison. Mom was there too. It was nice to see the food looked so much better then last time. Dad ate it all and his dessert too. Back in his room I gave him an intense manicure. One poor thumb nail needed allot of trimming but I hope it helps. The nurses then used the sling to get him into bed for a nap as he was tuckered. It is quite the handy lifter.

We left him to nap and went for lunch downtown. Thanks for the soup, sandwich and pie lunch Mom. Mom picked up the meds Steve brought back along with yarn Jamie dropped for AJ at Craig's sisters. We stopped then at Napa where I got S's truck filters and Mom had tires checked. She took me to UFA to meet Sheldon who was filling with fuel again. He filled on his way to Kindersley. On route home he delivered to 2 guys. We parked at the legion at 3:29 (the meet was to be 3:30). Soon 2 guys arrived to pick up more bags. Not long after Jamie arrived with our beef. We split one with AJ and C. Once loaded and a short visit we hit the road heading home at 4.

The roads were same crappy snow covered till the river bottom. Things got a bit better then. We arrived home at 7:15. Har was excited we were back. Minutes ahead of the first buyer. She was the bride from the wedding we attended this summer. She took 2 bags for others as well. THANKS Diane. She came in for a visit and shared news they were expecting. Craig was out to get his beef and bison burger. He came in for a visit too and tried the sinnamon whiskey. He too was a fan. Another buyer arrived so both boys loaded him up. Craig headed for home after 10.

Red sky in morning

B was even a bit later today dropping off Coop. The sky was on fire when Harley went out. A neighbor took this picture of it. The wind picked up soon after to hurricane strength blowing the deck chairs around but lessened after a bit. After coffee in bed it was time to get on with the day. S had another investment zoom call at 9. I got photos uploaded, edited and watermarked for yesterday's blog post.

He was then down to his 10 am zoom exercise class. My great customer picked up her mirror. I pulled out the recent MCM dresser I scored and put a coat of stripper on it. This finish is not removing easily. I covered it with plastic and left. After S call with Craig at 11 we headed to town. Trash was dropped at dump. I had to drop tests at the lab, prescription to pick up then a stop at Paetz's to pick up stuff for Mom. B had a huge tub of homemade bubble gum ice cream I left for the kids.

Next stop was to grab a case of beer - seems we are out LOL. S picked up a signal light bulb and a couple teas before we headed back to the ranch. Finally the sun peeked out making the plus 10 feel warmer.

Time to scrap the dresser top and neutralize it with water. The drawers were vacuumed out and hardware and wood designs removed. S hooked up the cargo trailer for tomorrow’s bison run. He also assessed the cracking stucco  on south end. I scrubbed the drawers inside and out and set to dry.

While all dried I came in and wrote a Hometalk post for the magnolia cake plate. It hit a high of 12 but the win stayed at a low bluster. I threw a frozen turkey casserole in the oven and we went for an early hot tub. Again good timing as the hurricane winds started up again when Bitt arrived for supper. We ate, skipped feeding Bird as it seems Gulliver has escaped and off she and coop went. We finished up Beckham.
