Pot projects complete

I woke early at 6:30 but lay there going thru my to do list. S was up to pee before 8 which had H come in for a scratch but he was back asleep so I put her in garage. She did well overnight not wanting out but I did apply more polysporin at midnight just as the winds picked up. When awake there was a fresh dusting of snow on everything. I checked H cheek after feeding her and was very happy to see the swelling down a bit and the skin not angry and red. After a coffee in bed I cleaned it and added more polysporin.

I added a coat of black to the last pot while H ate. Time to get a Hometalk post done for the grey table. S worked on his Xmas light troubleshooting to no avail. We went out in the gorgeous sunshine and plus 3 temps at 10 for a hot tub soak.

I got busy working on my paint projects adding transfers, clear coating etc. I brought a couple in to work on the transfers during lunch hour as we watched some of the Canadian FIFA game. S finished up his light string plugged it in only to find it smoke and short out! I headed back to the garage to work on projects when H alerted me the Hello Fresh was being delivered.

I had a couple loads of garage laundry on the go including H's bedding. I cleaned her ear that seemed to be itchy too and her face again. S was online news reading in the sunshine but did head out to clean filters as another beauty plus 5 day out there. I fed the horses and played ball with H for a bit then back inside to photograph and finish more pieces.

S took the skidoo out for a quick rip but found allot of the snow is melting. He was back to his big brown and laptop as I worked on todays blog post. I made the first HF meal; warm shrimp poke bowl that was delicious even with the pepper replacement instead of corn. S got all the peppers of course :)

Hockey was up next with a fire for S but no televised Flames game again that angers him. I worked on the blog and played a few games in front of the fire for a break. B and Coop were out after 7, she and S put the code reader on her car and solved the problem. She then washed H's face with hibatane and applied the poly and was off. After I finished my computer work I was in bed to read after 8 making us our yogurt bowls with S joining after his computer work too.

Poor Harley's cheek is worse

When I let H out this am after feeding her I saw her left cheek was puffy so washed with a warm rag and found it bloody and crusty. I cleaned it up, used a pyro wipe then rubbed on polysporin in hopes of helping it heal. S got coffee going and our day underway. He did computer news while I got some marketing done then I went out to start painting the pots. One got blue to go with cactus transfers, one soft pink to go with florals and the other a warm white for a base but not sure what I am doing graphic wise. I hauled out more transfers to try and decide for other projects.

S ran out to let cats out and fill water then got reading his Nostradamus book in bed. I continued on the pot projects adding a gold mandala stencil on half and let dry and other touch ups.

I loaded the rug cleaner but saw Harley's owie face had rubbed blood on the front mat so will clean later today. We loaded up at noon and headed to town with the first stop lunch with Dad. He ate his lunch himself then he and I stopped to visit Sheldon and check the melting snow out. It is plus 5 today but overcast. We carried on to his room where I filled his Cheetos container and he had some while relaxing in his chair.

We were off after 1, I dropped S at his shinny game then off to do Christmas shopping along with a few groceries, and 2 other colors of Christmas cactus. I picked up a couple parcels at the Purolator drop off then arrived to pick up S after 3. I chauferred us home to unload my goodies, S his bag and inside then I went out to feed horses. H cheek seems worse so I cleaned it well again with betadine water and dried it then gave her supper. I booked her in with a vet Thursday am.

she rubbed it in the snow ;(

I then was back to my paint projects doing another coat of blue, clear coating the pink, stenciling the other side of the one and painting the tin a warm white finally planning to do a peony collage.

I came in at 5 to catch the news and eat leftover chicken supper with S who was awake from a nap after reading his book. I shampooed the entry rug, caught up the blog then was back out working on pots while S perused the net in big brown. I started transfers on the pink cup and was starting the painting on the last pot when B arrived.

She helped me clip, scrub and treat Harley's cheek. It looks yucky and far worse than the last few days poor girl. B and Coop then headed home. H's bedding was all changed too including a big quilt laid on our bedroom floor as she really wanted to lay in there when I moved into the bedroom to read. S joined me in bed to read as well with our usual yogurt fruit bowl.

Primer Monday

It was a nice relaxing start after a 10 hour relax/sleep. H did scratch at 6 but only once then quiet. After 8 I went and fed her and made coffee. The prince got up a bit later to enjoy a cup with me then filled a go mug and was off for his 9:30 lab appointment. I did my marketing then it was time to get some painted pot projects on the go. I had the 3 pots I washed up last week after replanting that I primed then grabbed a tin can and primed it too. Two coats were applied to all.

If you have extra chopsticks I can use them.

For lunch I made my fav spinach fruit salad with a side of chicken wings for us. The usual news was not on due to the FIFA, booo. After lunch S chatted with Craig while I wrote a tutorial for the 2 growth rulers from awhile back.

I scrubbed up a green pot I forgot earlier then put the first coat on and seeing it is PLUS 4 headed out to feed the horses. This led to me trimming Switch's feet while they ate. It was sooo nice out. S trouble shot the Christmas lights and had worse trouble now having another entire string go out.

Back inside I put the 2nd coat on the can and green pot. S decided to take the skidoo for a rip seeing it was so nice out. I published the growth ruler tutorial then had to send to sponsors, post on sites etc. He was back and cozy in big brown doing online research. He did help me nail the hanger on the door cabinet I brought in. I snapped a few photos but the sun was gone behind clouds so not the best lighting.

A chicken was put in to roast for supper and worked on another tutorial, this one for the green jewelry box. Potatoes were mashed, broccoli roasted and gravy made for a delicious supper. I was back to working on computer work after washing up pots and pans and S to his laptop as well as watching the Flames score on his phone since not on TV. B and Cooper stopped out for his bathroom duties and gone after 10 minutes. We wrapped up the evening both reading in bed then listening to some sleep meditations.

Grey Cup Sunday

Shower and a coffee for S before we headed over to visit with Benbow’s started our Sunday. Brunch was planned next so both parties checked out and met at the restaurant. We then said our goodbyes and parted ways with us heading to Costco after 11. S and I did our best to get stuff off the list but of course a Sunday during the holiday season was pretty busy.

After we checkout and put stuff in the car we grabbed a tea and made our journey home. We pulled into the garage before 1:30 and did our unload with H greeting us. B had been out this am to feed her horses and left her here after cleaning a sore on her cheek, THANKS B for your care. Both of us did a bit of quick computer work then headed out to soak in the hot tub in overcast PLUS 2.

the "dog" pack patrolled the hot tub area while we soaked ;)

After putting the cats away S harvested his tomato plant, this plant is really enjoying it in the garage and good thing I moved it in there. He said they taste amazing.

A quick rinse and a chat with Shaina laying on the beach at 8 am down under. The Grey Cup is today and when S went to watch the pre show after 3 he saw we had the TV room to put back together. Once that was done he got comfy in TV room big brown and the football celebrations. I went up and chopped a pork roast up into meal containers for H with veggies, tripes etc ready for a few meals and gave her supper.

I joined S in the TV room for the game while playing some brain games and writing blog posts. I popped back up again to broil up some chicken wings to go with Japanese salad. S also had the leftover Chinese food too. It turned out to be a great game with a good halftime show.

Once over we headed to bed both reading for a bit before lights out and some sleep meditations. Amazingly S fell asleep fairly soon and I drifted I think then up for an orange and put H in garage after a pee break and back to bed.
