Cold weather sets in

Usual morning but with a cappuccino and not served in bed ;) An Amazon prime delivery had Harley up in arms before 8:30 as I was rearranging Sheldon's pants/shorts shelves. Monday marketing got underway.

I wrote a Hometalk post for the custom cabinet. A hot yummy bowl of soup for lunch, Shaina joined me after her morning check ins. I bundled up and took the carrot peelings as well as a bag of carrots Shaina had out to the horses. Brrr it is cold out at -16 with a slight wind chill.

The shelf got underway with layers of colors and texture.

Shaina headed to town at 2:30 for a charger seeing she forgot hers in Banff and her laptop is now dead after her morning work. I did more on the shelf, found a bowl for a possible customer, and cleaned some shelves.

Shaina was back in an hour bringing a tea, THANK YOU, then back to her check ins. Another Hometalk project was done for the pink trinket box. Another wooden serving bowl was hemp oiled and staged to post.

I cooked us bacon and French toast for supper. Britt arrived just in time to join us after then she was off and Shaina back to work. I worked on the blog while watching my iPad and wrote yet another Hometalk post for the sofa table. And one for the green pepper grinder. I got my Dixie Belle order in, like I need more paint ;) but it is a real nice bonus to get free product monthly. Off to bed to finish season 2 of Magicians and start season 3.

H waited till 8 today to eat then head out and back in. I made the coffee and served the prince in bed. It was a cold -15 overcast but pretty hoarfrost covered day. I jumped in the shower quick before laundry was sorted & threw in then headed out to the garage. This led to a few hours of paint sorting. I prepped an area to put the new cabinet in and S helped me place it after he let cats out and hooked up his little trailer. I moved all my paint from the wooden shelves that Harley could get to and sort in the cabinet with doors.

Britt and Cooper stopped out after 12 to feed Bird and Pepper while the pups played. It was cold out with a biting wind, brrr. They headed off after 1. I had a quick bowl of KD and a beer then back to my task. I got it all rearranged in the new cabinet and old shelf. I love having things organized and these last few days have had lots done. I was removing the fabric off some dollar store frames I was given when S headed off at 2:30 with his hunting gear, sausage I packed up and the box of late Christmas gifts. 

I totally forgot a gal wanting to come for a tree today so messaged her then threw on some soup bones, folded the loads of laundry and put away. I hauled up the tall fake ficus tree, fluffed and set on the deck, it was picked up at 4. A new shelf project was scrubbed up to work on along with a smaller garbage can from Britt's former condo owners left. We seem to not fill a large garbage bag which leaves it smelly so going with a smaller bag and can to try.

The days are getting longer. I went and put the cats way before 6 as the darkness came hauling the other computer chair back for Shaina to use downstairs at her makeshift desk. I added chopped veggies the soup and worked on the blog while watching Magicians then added brown ramen noodles I had soaked in hot water. Soup was enjoyed after 8, yummy if I say so myself. I crawled into bed and watched more Magicians. Shaina arrived back home after 10, loaded in some things including a TV and headed to bed.

This is night 4 of taking these melatonin gummies. They do help me fall asleep but not stay asleep so will see how a couple weeks fairs.

Plant care and workbench finished

H changed up her routine at 7 eating then heading out and back in to rest till S put the coffee on at 8. We enjoyed one in bed then up for the day. There was a light skiff of snow falling which is always so pretty. I caught up on marketing while S made scrambled eggs with toast and beans. I had a sale to start my Saturday for the industrial stool/plant stand. I got it ready to go and moved stuff around in my store area downstairs.

S was off after 10:30 to pick up a cookie order then go to Matt's to work on this issue again. I needed to swap out a stool so brought in one from my stash for B's fiddle leaf I am rejuvenating. S was back in an hour solving the problem. He hauled some boards in and we flipped the super heavy work bench to build the shelf.

Craig and his BIL Trent arrived after 12 to load the rest of the metal shelves off the dump trailer. I started on plant care which had everything watered and a couple repotted and plants all moved around to new spots. I got Britt's pots all ready for her to take back as the 3 she had me over winter died :(

The fellows finished up and S came in to warm up and eat lunch then to work on his bench. I added a few more good ideas to his plan ;) We also fixed the boot jack that Harley modified. B and Coop came out to feed Bird, grab her pots and take some sausage home.

While moving plants around I saw the one wood table had water marks etc so it was wiped well, lightly sanded and hemp oil rubbed in making it beautiful again. Such a great way to bring luster back to wood. I also did the stool top before it is picked up.

S ran to town around 4 to toss the trash, grab screws for the bench and a few more 2X4's. I did some computer work while watching Magicians. S was back at 5, changed into something warmer and roll out a bale for the horses. Once back at the house he worked on screwing on the newly acquired boards while I cooked supper. We ate supper while catching the news then he put the last few screws in and got it moved out with the skid steer as I manned the door. Again a wee bit of snow was coming down. He put it in the shop, tucked the kitties away for the night and came in. We spent the evening watching our iPads; me Magicians and him a show he started up north then John Wick 3.

Shop shelves underway

Another round of coffee in bed after letting H out around 7 then fed at 8. Plans for today are getting more done on the work bench and unloading this trailer of shelving units. So after our coffees we got busy adding the leg/shelf braces.

Next it was onto the unloading of shelves. Two metal ones were unloaded into the barn and a cabinet shelf to the garage. It was now noon so we took a lunch break with Mama Kuhn's borscht and a tuna sandwich.

Off to the shop now to get the shelves in place. This requires moving a huge wooden one. I also worked on cleaning under the stairs on the barn side now the big freezer is gone. We got lots done but S was cold so inside at 4 to have a beer and snacks. I dark waxed the jewelry box and staged it up.

At 5 S headed over to Matt's again to work on the machine as part of SLiK services. I worked on computer stuff  including making an Etsy post for the jewelry box then made chicken and coconut rice supper while watching my iPad. I invited Britt to join us too. She arrived just ahead of S at 6:30, he did not solve the issue so will go back later. We enjoyed our supper together while the puppies played. 

B and Coop were off at 7 to get groceries. S put the cats away and closed up the shop and barn doors before heading back to Matt's. I continued with my Magicians episodes while working on the blog and tutorials. He was back in an hour with no luck fixing it to research and watch hockey. A soak in a tub then relaxing in bed with my show while S perused the net.
