More rain

I put a pot of coffee on before 8 and let Lola out as Candace was prepping for the day. Not long and Papa joined us. Healthy toast with PB&J on the menu with Grama joining us not long after. They left after 9 for the funeral and I did a bit of marketing.

Then it was time to finish the 2 end tables. They were cleaned up on the underside, put back together and black waxed. After a bowl of soup I hauled them in then back out to stage then back in. Getting my steps in you know ;) Laundry is in full swing as is Rosie today too.

It was a sunny on and off kinda day; I went out to move the truck trailer and water system to the poplar/ash row, hand picked this perennial that spreads like a weed and I am trying to eradicate, hand picked a pile of dandelions for Switch, pruned the rose bush and got water on the front and back flower beds.

I am so excited to see these blossoms and hope the dark rain clouds unload

Back inside it was remake the spare room bed upstairs after Rosie did the floor and continue with laundry. The Kuhn crew was back before 3:30 to visit over a cold brew. About an hour later Ma and Pa loaded up and headed east. Candace stayed and visited for another hour before she set off. A few drops of rain came down after 5 but started when she headed off at 5:30, yeah rain!! I kept the laundry going, did some marketing and cooked me up some veggies for supper.

I thought the rain let up as 7 as the horses had come out of their shelters but as I headed out to give the supplements it stated up again. That is just fine, bring it on. I came back in , made a cappuccino and wrote a blog post for the pink and white dresser.

double rainbow again

I checked Matt's system and it says 2/10ths so far in last 24 hours. That is great!

Love my home grown tulips

I started a new Netflix series called What If, I watched almost 3 episodes before calling it a night.

guests at the bed and breakfast

A lovely sunny day, I moved the truck and water on the trees needing a better tank angle for the syphon. One cappuccino to start the day and some marketing then it was out to work on the tables. The tops were stained one last coat, this is because I am now all out of that color ;) but think they will look good. On to the base, I went with grey.

Next it was on to hauling the furniture out of my car, snapping a few pics and finding a spot to store it. It was then time to tidy the house for my evening guests. My paint parcel arrived, I have to go hold Lola as this is the driver petrified of dogs. He even calls the house to ask I come out LOL. I cut some fresh tulips too for the kitchen.

Another coat of grey went on. I finished up just as Candace pulled in just after 3. We spent the next couple hours visiting over a beer and eventually a spinach salad before she was off to her childhood friends prayers after 5.

Candace brought treats... I did crater and have a half a sugar as you see LOL

I was going to hop in the shower but decided I better sand distress the table bases before doing so. Then I jumped in the shower quick. Ma and Pa K arrived after 6 making sure they arrived in time for the Raptors game. They had a quick bite to eat and enjoyed the game from the TV room.

The dining table was to be picked up at 7 but just after she messaged she totally forgot, was at a friends birthday and had left there truck at the mechanics overnight so would not be making it. Another day it is. I went out and gave the horses their supplements. Again another beautiful night.

Back in I wrote up the blog then did my modified workout. After the Raptors won, Ma K and I had a cup of tea while Papa caught the sports highlights before we headed to bed. Candace was back before 11, a quick visit and she toto was off to bed.

Off to the city

The rain is gone and the yard looks green. I put another coat of stain on the stain tops after letting Lola out. I enjoyed a cappuccino to start my day, just one seeing they are 200 calories ;) The car had the seats laid down and items takes out to make room as I have a furniture pick up on the way to the city today.

I am off to the city to get my last root canalled tooth removed today. In light of this I ate a small bowl of hamburger soup around 10:30 as brunch. I was on my way after 11 stopping for the furniture first. What a beautiful sunny day it is.

Next stop was the dentists but of course you have to find the parking meter and sometimes go back to your car to recheck your license plate and then struggle to get your time set and it may take 2 payments on your credit card with one being .05 cents ;) The cleaning went smoothly, no pun intended as did the extraction.

Before 2:30 I was on my way heading to the NW. I was meeting Kaylin at her house for sugaring but stopped quick at a health food store for a few supplements good for healing. I met her at the house about 3 and within an hour she had my legs as smooth as a babys bottom. She was then off back to work and I to a nearby thrift store. I found a few items of course and added them to the pile.

I stopped at my favorite store Homesense but was overwhelmed with the items. Unlike a thrift store where I can scan the piles of goodies to see what catches my eye, today there was tooo much in Homesense and I left with nothing.

Costco however was another load. Surprisingly there were no plants in the plant section I needed but there ended up being allot of veggies and proteins sources.

After finding spots for it all in the car (this SUV fold down seats is the bomb) it was 6:30, my freezing finally had come out and I was peckish. The area is limited to fast food so I opted for protein at A&W however after ordering a mozza burger and sweet potato fries and adding the root beer to the combo I saw the board say the burger was 600+ calories and the sweet potato fries were 640!! WTH, the teller said yes it was due to the sauce so I only used some of it but it is so darn good. And they had paper straws.. thick but paper straws that was nice to see.

I was back at the ranch at 7:30 and got it all unloaded and put in the fridge. What a gorgeous night at 21 degrees; I gave the horses there supplements and moved the tree water again and brought in Lola for the night.

we got nuts! and veggies

drizzly rain day

Awoke to the sound of dripping rain ;) I made a cappuccino for Shaina and I after letting Lola out and delivered it to her before 9 as she was getting ready to head out to her morning classes.

The tables were my morning chore. The stripper did not take this finish off as easy as some, it required lots of scraping. Eventually most of it was all off. Next I sanded the one top down.

Noon and time for a bowl of soup. Today is the first day of 1200 calories, S is on 1600 as prescribed by our fitness & nutrition coach.

Shaina was back after 1, ate some soup then the first workout began. She kindly did demonstrations if I did the excersise wrong(which was allot of them) Once I did my actual workout I worked on marketing for a bit while S had a nap. She was up at 3:30 to pack up some more soup to take along, loaded up the recyclables and she was off by 4.

It started to drizzle at 5 as I went out to dose the horses and move the hose again. Back in the garage I sanded the other table top then in for supper. Supper filled the calories count, darn it, it is going to be a long night. Back to the garage to stain the tops in driftwood. A hot soak was next order. Of business while YouTubing high protein snacks to put on my grocery list.

4 episodes of Grey’s anatomy wrapped up this season a the rain dripped. Matt’s gauge says we had 1/2 of 1/10th in last 24 hours.
