Friday was another early start for Sheldon and I, after a quick coffee and loading recyclables we blasted to town for his 9 am dental cleaning. Britt had a flex Friday and after such a long week of volunteering, jobs and school she slept in awaking just in time to get to her dental cleaning at noon.
After dropping Sheldon off, I stopped at the rummage sale to find yet a few more goodies and had success ;-) After picking up Mr clean teeth we made a quick stop at Tims taking a tea to Miss Shaina who took a shift at Roadhouse today. She kindly picked up a mirror, a HUGE mirror it turned out on her way home last night and may or may not have got a red light ticket on the way too. The thank you tea was exchanged for the mirror and off to Amanda's.
She kindly colored my hair, blew it dry and curled it up all pretty. What an awesome sister, THANKS AJ!! XOXO I got to enjoy Ada snuggles during the process as well, lucky me. Sheldon ran errands getting more supplies. We got home around 1 as Britt was getting home from her dental appointment. She showered up as work starts at 3.
I hauled the freshly painted table outside and snapped a few photos to post before putting back inside. It seems the beauty days are to come to an end this w/e, boo!
After lunch and a nap (and not feeling well) Sheldon went to hang the first 3 light fixtures in the shop. I too did not feel well most of the morning but spent the afternoon moving furniture up for the sale and tagging them. I created some cute tags and cut out some business cards too.
lights go in.. 1
2...
and 3.. check out this unique scaffolding!
Shaina stopped out after work to shower and get ready for a party tonight, She will stay at Jenna's tonight but always good to have banter with this feisty child before she was off and running. After bowing out of our good friend Roxie's 50th birthday and our polox AGM, Sheldon cooked a yummy steak supper. It was most delicious and luckily we both were feeling better to eat it but it was late finishing up around 8 ;( It was then couch again and football for Sheldon while I updated the blog for last 4 days. He did take a run out to check the new lights in the dark.
Britt tried her hand at manual driving again after work but says still is quite terrible at it. I say it is the over achiever in her ;-) She spent rest of her night relaxing with her TV shows!

clean house day!
Thursday.. a big day, I woke Britt up at 6:30 am and she was out the door to volunteer at the vet clinic just after 7. Sheldon and I enjoyed a coffee as we got ready to get out the door. The cleaning gals arrived about 8:45 to clean for my open house, oh happy day!! Sheldon was off to the shop to wire outlets and prepare for the lights as his days project. I was off to town to take in the church rummage sale where I dropped my donations then scored a small but good haul of treasures. I grabbed a tea; which ended up being mint.. yuck- return! then stopped at my old work to drop off goodies for the gals and a quick visit. It seems my spare keys would not auto lock or open so checked with dealer, battery good, reset did not work, new transmitter.. around $200! no thanks.
It was then time to go watch Asher's gymnastic class I had been promising to see. He enjoyed showing his best moves while Ada showed me all the toys there and how to roll on the floor. A quick stop back at the sale to score a couple more items, a stop at Rona to pick up the electrician some supplies, hit the bank, grab some Edo then blast home just before 1. The gals were taking a break but cleaning was well under way.
Sheldon and I fine dined in the shop around my fancy red spool table with a cold beer. He got back to work and I got to unloading treasures and spraying yet a 4th coat of black paint on the table top. The cleaning gals finished up at 4:30 and for sure there was much less dust, if only I had a window fairy!

Sheldon and I enjoyed a pizza in the shiny kitchen while poor Britt worked after school not getting home till almost 10. She had worked out after work and then took her first try at driving a standard, poor car! lol She was giddy with excitement when she got home and shared while Sheldon and I were finishing season 4 of SOA enjoying a rum and coke and Pringles zesty salsa chips!! YUMM highly recommend, apparently they are now available in Canada.

projects & power to the shop goes in
Tuesday was a day spent continuing to prepare for the sale. I managed to get 2 more coats on the table base and photo the iron candle holder that had dried and a mirror missed to add to online sale catalog.

Between laundry I put dark wax on the scone coffee table then distressed and dark waxed the super cute ladder. And yes in the living room, this product is no VOC and very safe and friendly to use while watching Ellen!

I posted the ladder and is sold within 20 minutes.. who knew, need a few more of them!
Britt volunteered after school getting home in time to join me for supper then homework time. Her report card was awesome, well done B!
In my organizing and tidying for the cleaners, I realized I have a few snacks from Xmas, Vegas and my bday I best eat up.. not a bad problem to have I must say
Sheldon got to town around 6 but ran errands and met his buddies for wings and beer so did not see him till after 9 pm. I put a coat of primer on the table top in the evening ready to paint black in the am!
Wednesday
Sheldon moved the panel into the shop as his project of the day. This required a couple power outages which I worked around while cleaning and spray painting the table black first thing in the morning then later in the afternoon 2 more times. I also did the dreaded pricing of my inventory!! Britt worked after school and Sons of Anarchy season 4 continues once the sun goes down.
my new paint to try on this project
first coat on, what ya think?

new panel up in the shop (which I helped put up plywood) and the new cable being hooked up sending power to the shop directly now
and then there was power!

dining table progress
Monday again...high of 24 but windy today.. warm at least I guess and it is October 20. Britt was off to school, today is her first day volunteering at the vet clinic during her spare and lunch. She is also working after school till 8.
I spent a good part doing tidying as this is my big week. Items need to be moved and clothes washed and put away as cleaners come Thursday, HOORAY! I also finished 2 coats of poly on the tray, pics and posted.
started a candle holder, sanded, scrubbed the dining table then painted the base and ladder in another new color called submarine depth
after sanding the top even more and confirming it is just veneer I opted to not stain but will paint like the base and I think it will be black.. what ya think?
I enjoyed a bit of sunshine and warm wind while hand bombing a bale and walking horses all the way around. Today Kaylin flies to Vancouver for a few Sephora training days, how exciting for her, safe travel sweets! Shaina stopped out after work for a piece of pie and a visit before venturing back to the city. Always nice to see you my lovely!
Home around 8:30, Britt grabbed grocery list and Coco and headed back to town to get groceries while picking up her forgotten binder. Silly girl
