Day 851 was an overcast day which is ok as the area is SOOOOOO dry. The winter pasture is burning up. The usual coffee and baileys (made and served by me today) ipad morning was our start. Shaina had text around midnight they arrived at a spot to sleep and then text at 9 am they were up and ready to go, sleeping in the "boat" (AKA marquis) was getting painful and they have adventures ahead. So after brushing teeth at Tims and grabbing breakfast they were off! Eventually it was time for us get things moving. I headed out to start my projects sanding and adding more filler on the kids table and working on another sign. Sheldon put a couple of tubes of caulking on the storage trailer roof after I found water damage to a few things :-(

these two are always hugging, or resting on big D
I was going to start painting when he came into the garage around noon. We started to move a few things and 3 hours later we had the garage looking amazing. We moved some projects to storage trailer, some to shop and swept and cleaned almost all the floor. Britt rode Bird for a bit before doing what she does best.. watch TV. Wait she did let horses out in the winter pasture and gave me a manicure while waiting for supper. :-)
Kaylin said Lexi is gluten free now, this should count! (you can see Britt riding in background of D's pic)
I should have snapped a photo sooner of the before, this was stacked with crap but all cleaned off to move these stairs out

Now it was time for a cold beer before Sheldon went in to play candy crush and I painted the first coat of white. I headed in for a shower and beverage with him. The fellow dropped off the ratchet straps as promised just before supper. Sheldon prepared the sweet potato, steak and grilled asparagus for supper!! yum, even Britt said it was awesome!
It was another beautiful evening. I went back out to the shop and applied 2nd white coat as well as stained the other growth ruler. Things are coming along. I will for sure meet her week deadline for the two.
Shaina text thru the day and sent pictures of their camp set up and supper tonight at Fintry, BC.
Thelma and Louise excellent adventures begin!

850 - Lexi comes for her week at the ranch
Day 850 another lazy start however the new bus drive called to stop and meet us and see the stop a few minutes away from us. Kaylin stopped just after around 10:15 to drop Lexi off, then she was off to do wedding makeup for 11. Shaina slept late after her late night but was off to work for 1, another tournament.
We jumped in the car and zoomed to Paetz's to deliver her birthday sign and help her hang it and baby pictures while the fellows BS'd. Next stop was to pick up another coffee table but I think kids table more so, this one in need of some tlc.
sitting with uncle
serious face
finished wall.. what you think? (AJ is going to fun tack corners straight)
Rona to restock was our next venture before the big spender took me for lunch.. at Dairy Queen!! An important stop to restock the baileys, parts return, pick up another online auction and then back to the ranch by 2.
Kaylin was here soon after to visit briefly before heading back in to meet a friend for lunch. Britt returned home at 3 and kindly finished Sheldon's "hair" cut and dishwasher chore.
Finally after a nap and much groaning, at 4, Sheldon took the truck to the new shop to change the u bolts. I went out to unload the car after updating the blog and Facebook. Kaylin was back around 4, Britt cleaned her vehicle in lieu of makeup debt!
Just before 6 Kaylin and I went out to catch horses, Gail and Britt soon joined us and we tacked up and went for a ride, it was a beautiful night for a ride. Sheldon worked on mowing the weeds along the fence to the gate.
Kaylin preparing then actually back in the saddle.. nice to see ;-)
Back inside at 7:30 I cooked up a simple spaghettini supper and veggies. Around 8:30 fellow stopped to buy our 1000 gallon stock tank... for a pool! He was definitely Clark Griswald driving back to Calgary. He brought thin nylon rope to secure which was a joke so borrowed our ratchet straps. Shaina called just as he arrived that her and Shannon were leaving on their BC vacation getting off work a bit later than planned. Kaylin and Gail headed to town before Kaylin went home to Calgary then off to her course tomorrow in Edmonton. Britt found her cat and put back in garage rehab then hit TV room while Sheldon resumed the weed eating part of the weed removal along fence posts. I went to the sweat shop (today was 29 so it heated up good) and sanded my 2 rulers projects and the new kids table.
Griswald pool mover.. and Sheldon's weed eating safety boots and socks!
At 10 we both shut it down, enjoyed a cold beer and warm bath to remove another days worth of dust off.

849 - new dining table.. again!
Day 849 started as a cloudy cool day with no sun till nearly 3 pm. After a relaxing coffee and baileys in bed with our tablets, Sheldon and I decided to get moving. I went and mowed the weeds, as that is all that is growing in this recent heat with no rain spell. And the weeds happen to be in dirt areas so it was a horrid dusty job :-(. Sheldon started to put the stairs up off the big deck area.
I then headed to my shop and waxed table legs before having lunch. After lunch and getting the girls up (after 12:30!!) I went out and hand painted a border on my gifts. Again the coffee seems to add an element to hand painting if not hard enough on its own! Britt took Mitzy outside for a bit of fresh air and it was not long before she had a mouse. This is why we invested $285 in this kitty, she is a great mouser!! and I HATE mice!!
Shaina got ready for work at 2, Sheldon finished up the stairs and figured how much more we need to finish the big seating area. We were going to screen it in but after a quote of $5000 we decided it might be far in the future, HA. He installed a couple exterior outlet bubble covers finally, the kind you can leave cords plugged in. He also checked the dreaded septic filter!
Today is my baby sister Amanda's birthday, happy birthday pretty woman!!
I was back in the shop, waxing and polishing legs, signs and such before moving the new table in and assembling. I love it. This is fun getting a new table every few months. Sheldon helped after enjoying multiple beers, a reward for his hard work the last few days he claims!
A regular customer was back for a couple bales just after 5:30, right when some glorious rain came. It was not much but it was sure welcome. I am such a perfectionist I had to sand the new table edges and the top of the end table and poly another coat.
Britt, Sheldon and I had a yummy late sausage supper, Kaylin was planning to possibly come out and stay as she has a wedding in the am but was not feeling well so we saved her some sausage. Britt went to town around 7 to celebrate Brooke's birthday and have a sleepover. We enjoyed a relaxing night playing games on our tablets, watching football and just kicking back. Shaina did not get home until 2:30 am after a very long 12 hour work shift.
Today I posted my first giveaway to promote my page. It seems to be complicated int he fact I want to get more likes for the actual page but get post or picture likes not the actual page. If you are not a fan of my Creative Moments page, come on like it, share and enter to win this cute plant stand.. or deck drink holder!

848 - more project progress
Day 848 I was up and off to work while Sheldon and Shaina slept in. They apparently got up and worked on rotating the brakes on her car which was good as they sent the wrong parts which I picked up earlier this week. Shaina works today at 2, coincidentally for the Cavalier golf tournament.
I had a very busy morning at work and stayed a bit thru lunch getting home at 1. Sheldon was having lunch so I grabbed a quick bite before heading to my sweat shop. I was very busy waxing the ruler, table legs and body as well as coffee table legs in the house. I also waxed the 2 signs and the plant stand. The end table was sanded a final time then I stained it. I stopped around 5 to enjoy a slushy Bellini Sheldon whipped up then watered my garden a bit in the 27 degree sunshine.

He was out installing the last of the posts and finishing the railing while continuing to water trees. I went back in and polyed the end table top and painted the legs and body. I also started antiquing the growth ruler and the 2 signs. By this time Sheldon was ready to pull a dead poplar and plant the tree Grama and Papa bought us. I helped him get it planted before I came in to cook supper. Britt who arrived home from her sleepover at 5 cooked perogies for me then scurried back to her TV room for the night.

After supper I headed back out and to continue my antiquing. I did the table legs and body then the plant stand. Some I love and some I am unsure of, well the gifts and the table I'm unsure but the table I can always change up anytime. The gifts you worry the person likes them. I also put another coat of paint and poly on the end table before cleaning up and coming in at 10. The work shop was a busy place today but needs to keep in high gear as I had 2 more growth rulers ordered tonight as well as another request to paint a dining table.
