Birthday week continues

Happy 85th Papa K!! Hope you have an amazing day and year ahead. The sun was shining to start this beauty day. It was the usual pet care and coffee start followed by marketing and internet perusing. I headed out to the garage to paint the second coat of warm white on the table.

The top had a coat of clear wax hand rubbed in and once dry things were moved into the dining room.

S strong armed a tire of the little trailer to take to town for a new tire to be put on. He took 3 trailer tires off, loaded them and Harley in the merc then we were off to town. Oil and filters were the first stop then I dropped my Etsy parcel I packaged up earlier at the post office. I had preordered Vietnamese for lunch so I walked over to grab it while S dropped tires at the tire shop then we headed home to eat our lunch. S finished in time for his 1 pm zoom class. B was out soon after and off to trim Pepper.

I did a poop scoop loop then trimmed apple trees for over an hour and man was it hot out at 24 dressed for colder. I came in to change at 2:30 and motioned S to finish his zoom class on the deck as I changed into shorts. B caught Bird and took her for a very sweaty ride.

This is our current table (L) with one of the leaves done in walnut gel stain. The right picture shows the new table top color. There are many trees in the forest when it comes to color but S and I are both drawn to the darker walnut so think this new table is not the one for us so will post it for sale.

Once he finished up his class, he helped me carry in the table top then headed out to change the oil and filters on the truck. I staged up photos and decided the table is not what I want so will post for sale. It was now time to take Harley for a walk with Cooper joining us. I let the horses out into the hay field as I looped around. They were very happy about this.

Accounting was my next task; S took the truck for a drive to warm the oil and get mail then back to finish the filters. B headed home after 4:30 having fed the horses. S came in for a cold brew then a couple guys arrived at 5:30 to buy some tires. while S helped them load up tires I dug the last potato hill. Sadly, it will be a meager amount of potatoes for the 2 of us LOL. They were delicious though as was the rest of the meal.

S wrapped up watering the trees as we put the cats to bed however he could not get Gulliver in so I took Stella to barn to spend the night with J keeping the trailer mice free. We enjoyed a soak in the hot tub then after a rinse watched a couple more Dahmer episodes.

Supper with birthday girl

Beauty sunrise letting H out this am. The usual coffee, dogs feeding and cats let out.

watch 20 pound Lexi boss 130 pound Harley video, speaking of videos I forgot to add a couple of our ride yesterday so have added. Videos can only be viewed on website and are not on email option

With my second coffee I wrote a Hometalk post for Shaina's lamp while S perused the online news in big brown. Laundry was started then S and I went out to moved the furniture, I swept, S lowered the hoist and put the fireball away for the winter. Once it was back up the furniture was put back under and we hauled in the dresser for a few photos. Back to computer work for me and laptop /phone stuff for the prince.

I also took one of both stools

After lunch I was off to the garage to paint the table base a warm white. After his rest S went out in the 22 sunshine and ran a string of hot wire along the snow fence Pepper keeps rubbing on.

The rocking chair was picked up just before 3. The gal brought items she is adding to it for Christmas as well so I staged a few pictures, isn't it adorable?

S and I headed to town with the first stop to visit Dad. He had a new cut on his finger that no one knew how it happened, sheesh. S put footrests on a wheelchair in Dad's room where I wheeled him back to change his sweater and swap out wheelchairs. Then we went for an hour walk in the 23-degree sunshine. Dad started out awake and answering questions but by the end he was sound asleep. We left him napping in the sunshine of the dining room window at 4:15.

S dropped me at my 4:30 dental appointment a bit early but it took half an hour to be seen. He ran and got mouse traps and checked for oil filters then back to pick me up by 5:15. We stopped quick to grab some groceries then headed home.

S put mouse traps in the trailer as I heated the chili and put groceries away, fed the dogs then did computer work till Kaylin, Nathan and Beans arrived before 6:30. The pups had a great play while we ate and visited. B arrived at her usual time around 7:15 and fed finishing just as the Calgarians were leaving after 7:30. B came in to visit for a bit then headed home. I finished some computer work before moving to bed to watch some mor of For Love that we started Friday on Truth and Reconciliation day till S was done his sports. We then watched a couple more Dahmer, oh so creepy.

K bday & 1st horse trail ride in mountains of the year

last year pics of our beautiful girl

Sun was burning thru the foggy haze of this birthday Sunday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kaylin Melissa XOXOXO I fed H and got Lexi fresh water and got the coffee going. I did some marketing after a couple brain games. S let the boys out after his 2nd coffee at the crack of 9:30 :)

B and I are going trail riding today so I packed up some cold drinks and a few snacks, B is getting us lunch. I loaded my tack and opened the horse trailer windows and loading door. I then finished the grey waxing on the dresser while I waited for her to arrive. S ran the vacuum around to get the excess dog hair, thank you!

B was here around 11, we caught the 2 horses, loaded them and on the road before 11:30. Sheldon is in charge of all 3 dogs for the day. He also was watering trees and headed to town to meet a buddy for nacho and beers. I had gotten him out burger for him to make chili too and made a fresh batch of homemade chilli seasoning. B and I arrived at Bragg Creek and had the girls unloaded, tacked up and on the trail by 1 pm. B ate her sub in the truck but I had mine along the trail. It was now a gorgeous 22 all sun day!

B explaining the root monsters to Roo

2 video views of our amazing ride

We made a 6 mile journey around the forest encountering many hikers, bikers, dogs and rowdy kids. There were cows there to greet us, on the trail and then again at our trailer when we arrived back after 3.

After we untacked we walked them back to the water and B even carried a bucket back to the trailer but they were not thirsty. We loaded up and made our way east with a few more lunch treats packed by B, THANK YOU! we pulled into the yard by 5 where S was watering trees and greeted by the dogs. We hosed the girls and let them eat a bit of grass before releasing while S backed in the trailer. I cleaned out the poop and closed up all windows. B fed the 2 horses and she and Coop headed home in short order.

Time for a cold beer and bit of marketing while S finished cleaning up watering pumps etc. His chili smelled really tasty and it was enjoyed at 6 along with the news. I got to work loading photos as S continued to water in trees. I also hauled up the stools for sale to snap a pic for a potential buyer but they were too short for her island.

A great photo of the birthday girl and her roomies at dinner in Seattle

We had a sunset hot tub soak. Lexi had a horse apple tour and grass while we did so so she slept in H's kennel for the night to avoid puke in the bed. Showers and into the cozy bed where I finished the Sellin OC season and S watched more football. We then started Dahmer.. yikes that is one disturbed individual!

look closely can you see the 3 UFO'S

then the horses came to say hi, hard to see in such an amazing sunset sky

October first already!

The morning was foggy but the sun was trying to break thru and around 6 out. The usual dog feeding and cats let out. I delivered a coffee to the prince in bed and got onto marketing. I was happy to find an Etsy sale; the peacock tea pot!!

It is now October 1 so I was able to post the rocking chair tutorial as one of my months projects. Then it was sent to sponsors and posted on appropriate sites. S surfed the net in bed then moved to big brown. Time for us both to get busy as the sun was now out. The trailer had the bed remade with an added egg carton foamie found in Ma K's bag along with the tablecloth. I unloaded the rest of the freezables and S filled it with water to flush later.

He moved on to vacuum the fireball to rid of mice mess and clean tires while I went to the garage and worked on the custom dresser. More sanding then on to waxing and cleaning the hardware. We stopped after 1 for a beef sandwich and a beer. It is now 17 out, another lovely day. I was back to the dresser sanding and adjusting a small top drawer to fit but that required a few touch ups of course. The inside was treated with hydrating salve too.

I did accounting while S relaxed in big brown with the ball game on. Before Sharon picked me up after 2:30 I started to put away the yard ornaments. We drove to see her new horse and tour the facility she will be boarding at. It was a nice visit and good to meet her new horse, Zellos.

She dropped me back home after 4:30 with a quick visit with Britt who was out riding Roo. Sheldon had finished blowing out the trailer and parked it in the arena for the winter. He continued watering in trees today too. Britt finished her ride then fed horses. She helped me move the hitch in the truck bed so S could hook up the horse trailer for us. Tomorrow she and I are going for a trail ride. She then headed home. The Seattle crew facetimed for a bit which was always nice.

I made a salad then watered plants while S cooked up some tasty bison liver and original KD. After supper I want out to work on the dresser adding the hardware and starting the grey accent wax. S found a ball game then a hockey game to watch go figure. I watched some shows on my iPad, no hot tub tonight as blustery out.
