Running with bulls day 2

Coffee to celebrate Candace's birthday then S was off to the meeting early to check panels etc after 9. She and I visited until he was back around 11 when I made fancy French toast with loads of fresh fruit with B waking to join us. Candace decide with a sick Benji she best get home to him so was off before noon.

I convinced Britt to come to the rodeo and bulls so we packed up and were off to the rodeo after 12. The day was a warm one. Krystalle met us and shot her photos from the top of the rush seating. Check out more of her photos on her FB page and give her a follow.

After the rodeo we parted ways and headed to the volunteer shack to grab a burger then back to get the gator picked up, loaded and changed for the nights big events

1st round of bulls

2nd round of bulls

final round of bulls

Tonight's' running was pretty somber with only about half the usual runners and not real outstanding ones. We convinced Britt to stay to watch the chucks then made our way home once they wrapped up at 9.

She packed up Cooper and all her laundry and headed home planning to attend the harness racing tomorrow with coworkers.

I started the movie The Spy who Dumped Me but tuckered out before getting even half way thru :)

Running with the bulls night 1

I was awake at 8 and snuck out to do a bit of marketing before putting the noisy coffee grinder on at 9. Coffee, toast and fresh fruit were on the menu for breakfast with the visiting. Prince was off to his morning rodeo meeting at 10. Candace and I continued the visit and prepping for the day then she was off to meet friends after 11. I quickly caught up a bit of blogging with S getting back home after 11:30.

We loaded up and headed back to town after 12 for the long day ahead. Rodeo started out hot and crazy enough clouds rolled in and it rained exactly during intermission. Luckily I had the sit upon towel and my broken umbrella so we sat it out in our seats while most scrambled for cover.

hard t catch but it is raining while sunny

Kaylin and Kyle arrived for the second half and helped with running with the bulls too. Kyle captured this close up toss of the winner from their corner of the fence.

Krystalle (our photographer friend) got a media pass and joined us tonight from inside the center to capture some great photos.

 this guy was the winner

The event went well and our work group smoothly put up and took down efficiently. We enjoyed the chucks to round out the night.

Kaylin and Kyle were off for the city as Kyle worked yet tonight then we headed to the ranch. Britt was here having spent the afternoon doing laundry and tending to the horses. She was all gussied up ready for the cabaret but wavered on going as I was not game to go. S would have but after sitting in big brown he was soon fast asleep. Candace arrived back just after 10:30 as Britt was heading off to the cab. She and I visited until almost 1 before we called it a night. Cooper was picked up from the end of our bed after 1:30 when B was back home calling the cab... lame :)

Double nickle Birthday boy

Today it is the birthday boy's double nickel day!! XOXO we started with the traditional coffee in bed then I made him a delicious honey yogurt and fresh fruit bowl to get him going for the day. He was off to the rodeo meeting starting at 10 and back home by 11. He was excited to get his new headphones as his gift.

We were loaded up and headed back to town after 12 dropping trash on the way to the rodeo. It was a scorching day at 31 with a wind (which totally destroyed my shade umbrella). The rodeo was good and fairly fast for a less busy Friday. We then brought the truck into the infield to figure out the new post/panel system for tomorrow and S gave the scissor lift a test run.

It was then off to the trackside bar to relax for a bit. Candace joined us there around 5 after having a visit with the girls in the city at her appointment. We grabbed a beef on a bun and got our seats to watch the musical ride followed by trick riders, mutton busters and the chucks. There were a few horse incidents with the 2nd heat having an outrider horse trailered out ;(

Once all was done we jetted for home to enjoy a cold beer; birthday boy cooked up hot dogs for he and Candace while I stuck with Miss Vicky's. We visited until 11 when I headed to bed with my headache, they caught the fireworks then off to bed too. Pretty good birthday for S!

small bales sales

Shaina is off to Tony Robbins seminar!!

When we were having our coffee the skies were dark to the west however it did not take more then a few hours to become warm and sunny. It is so dry, we sure could use the rain. After coffee it was time to organize the recyclables to take to town and load up in the truck. We also drilled holes for the tray I had sanded up awhile back.

we ratcheted down the wood to stay straight

After lunch I went out to give supplements and refill the salt/mineral tub and took the quad and trailer to pick some poop while out there. It did not seem as hot at 24 but it increased to 27 in short order. S had drove to the gate to open it for a lady to come get bales then drove the quad for me for a bit till she arrived. She only took 5 but Buddy Bensmiller messaged not long after needing 12 and would be out after lunch. S got them set out and was off to town.

I had come in from the heat and started stenciling the tray; GATHER in chocolate. Buddy and his wife arrived around 3:30, I helped him load and he was off in no time.

I was back in to wax the tray and affix the handles securely on and snap a few photos. Now to write up the Etsy biography I mean sales ad :)

It was then onto writing a tutorial for the milk painted paper towel holder. S was home around 6:30 after his errands and rodeo meeting with some taco fixings to go with the burger and fixings I had ready. Yummy favorite pre birthday dinner #2!! After supper we ran back to town, filled with fuel, grabbed a 260 calorie large iced coffee (we thought according to fitness pal it was 160 oopps) then I dropped S at the mechanics to pick up the swather now fixed to drive it home and I was off. It only took him 1/2 hour to get home while I worked on blog posts and marketing.

Some Hutterite volunteers stopped out for passes and a visit with the prince. After that he started and enjoyed a campfire to himself. I popped out for a bit before heading back in to shower and catch another Covert Affairs.
