road trip to the dentist

Today is my road trip to Hanna to see Dr Dave. Headaches and jaw pain has increased so I managed to get bumped up from Dec 1 appt from a cancellation. Sheldon kindly brought me coffee in bed to start the day, thanks! Once we got moving for the day, he headed out to check the arena floor and walk the dogs checking the perimeter as he went and I got showered and ready to roll.

Passing thru town we got fuel and tea (pannini for driver S) and hit the road to make my 2 pm appt. After a 3D ex-ray and some microscope testing, bad news, another root canal tooth needed to come out. Dang.. but at least there was answer to headaches and pain right so out it came. I also got the new  blood spin down to white cell plug added to the socket treatment which was interesting and sounds like a great addition to extractions. Sheldon toured the town to see changes as has been about 3 years since he has been back. He kindly washed the car and ended up visiting an old co worker over a beer too while I was getting worked on.

By 5 we were off. taking the route thru Drumheller home. Seeing I missed my food for the day and being a bit peckish we stopped at A&W, yummy sweet potato fries and chubby chicken filled the gap. Finally we were back at the ranch by 7. I had forgot I had booked cleaners to come tomorrow when Amanda and I originally thought about having an open house this Sunday. Opps guess I get a clean house for no reason but it does require tidying up stuff which was the rest of our night's fun ;)

I was up early, the day was overcast all day with a high of 2! I was off to town after 10 with my first stop at the lab to do repeat blood work but as I turned the corner and saw line down the hall I changed up the order of my plans. I took did errands then my massage before heading home.

I was home by 2 with Sheldon  home not long after after running a few errands in the city and coming off nights. It was not long and he was asleep on the couch while I did vacation research. Plans changed in my search after calculating the us $$. Maui or Hawaii turned to somewhere in Canada :)

Being back off nights, Sheldon ate supper and was in bed by 8 and for good for the night. I worked on the blog and marketing and then read my book before retiring for the night too at 11. A great sleep for both ensued, yeah!

wee bit of frozen water arrives

Crisp was the morning with wee near invisible flecks of some white substance occasionally coming down while sitting at 0. Diego had wanted out to help with coyote patrol at 4 and was most disgruntled I left him out till 8. Bits of snow landed every now and then thru the day but nothing like Calgary got today or Banff yesterday!

Tash & Curtis stopped at noon to pickup new cork board, It was not long and she sent a picture of it hung and completely full ;)

I scrubbed up auntie Mindy's chair, an antique electrical box and a low table and left to dry. The electrical box did get glue and clamps added too it seems. Auntie sent a new chalk paint for me to try called Plaster Paint, I am excited to try it.

I worked on my blog pages and changed up the layout (did you notice background change a few days back?) and added connections to my Facebook Page on both this one and Creative Moments blog. The ad paid off in added likers, 65 were brought in from it and then organic likes brought my total to 2033 today from 1951 on Friday. Fingers crossed there are some shoppers amongst them ;)

Sad to say I sauteed up my last zucchini for supper, good bye summer ;( After updating the blog it was back to Wentworth. Ciao folks

dreary day, November 1

Sunday started out sunny but soon was over cast. Diego slept in even to old time of 9 but was now 8 am! Coffee and online time. It seems my ad has brought in 51 new likers, sure hoping some will be actual buyers though. I posted the candle pedestal as an auction then soon turned it into a giveaway to celebrate the over 2,000 followers! Be sure to enter

On a 10 degree grey day I did putzing. Tash wanted her new bulletin board orientation changed so did that, waxed up the white vintage frame and cut the wire for center, scrubbed up and changed out glass knobs for a new coat rack plan, and planned my next projects.

A rain squall blew thru briefly at 2 pm followed a bit later with a bit of hail then back to crap but around 5:30 the sun came out for an hour which brightened the day.

I felt crappy all day but after headache all day yesterday I was glad at least it was not as bad today, poor B felt nauseous around supper so laid down for a bit before finally hitting the road at 7. I crawled into bed and watched a few more Wentworth episodes to round out a slow dreary day.
