City day #2

After another restless night of sleep I was awake before 8:30. S went out to make coffee as Mom was getting up too and he fed H. Mom was off to town before 9:30 as we got ready to head to the city. I walked out and took Roo’s mask off and fed H then we were off after 10. S dropped me at my diagnostic place for bone density and other health checks. He went to check out patio furniture at nearby stores then back to wait for me.

Once finished we headed to Montana's for lunch; fajitas for two with churro dessert. I also tried a spicy Tex-mex margarita : Sauza Silver Tequila, orange liqueur and citrus, hand-shaken with a blend of organic strawberry-rhubarb, apricot purée, warm baking spices and blackstrap molasses. Rimmed with chili lime salt.

ready for the Mex meal and dessert

Up next we stopped at Home Sense and found some rugs for the trailer and house then to Lowe’s to look at patio furniture and buy outdoor clear spray coat for the bison heads. Now it was heading east looping thru town to grab a trailer adapter (I checked the garden center) and sign our taxes and back to the ranch at 3:30. The dog food delivered this am was getting soft and needed to get in the freezer ASAP.

I was so tired and went to lay on the bed to relax, S plugged in the trailer and joined me on the bed and in short order asleep LOL of course he can do that. I was now unable to sleep thanks to the chain saw snoring :) so perused Instagram. I woke him at 4:30 having a neighbor have the unfortunate incident of their freezer quitting and 200 pounds of burger melting. We drove over after I fed H and loaded up about 70 pounds and chatted to the fellow who did cement work for us.

Mom text to meet her for supper so we headed in after getting meat unloaded and coolers cleaned out. Vietnamese was enjoyed as we caught up on today’s meeting with the staff at Dad’s place. Thanks for supper Mom. She headed back to see Dad and us home to jump in the hot tub as B was dropping off Coopers stuff and feeding her horses. She was then off to the airport to head to Nashville. Dave was arriving home from Ohio just before her. We started the Flames game on S’s phone in the hot tub then came in to watch on TV after a shower. I was feeding cats and putting away when Mom arrived at 8:30.

We visited and watched the game with S moving to big screen TV. Mom headed to bed before 10, I took my iPad to watch game with S and write todays blog. The Flames pulled off a 3-1 win in the last period which totally made S’s day!ckstrapmolasses. Rimmed with chili lime salt.
