Triple sale day!!

It was another cold day out at -20 upon waking at 8 but a pretty sunrise. I let in Harley as I made coffee then threw in more dog bedding to wash when I fed her and soaked the horse feed. Not allot of marketing this am but rather time to get the projects started worked on. H and I fed the horses when they came in at 10:30. The cats got soft food as well and H some ball chasing.

Back in the garage the magazine rack had a second coat of paint applied to all sides and the cabinets the first coat of primer. Brushes were scrubbed up along with dog dishes. Thank goodness for the potato salad Ma K sent as it has been many meals this week along with the turkey soup that will be for supper.

The custom ordered ruler was next, the husband brought his wife and baby as a surprise gift. She had no idea but on the way was thinking puppy or horse so a growth ruler may not have been as exciting as she hoped. They visited for a short time to find out more about my shop. I gave the painted F to them as gift with purchase seeing the little girl is named Frankie (Francis). They were off at 1:30 just as the snow and winds blew with off and on whiteouts in making for an ugly afternoon. Good timing feeding horses and cats.

I was back in the garage giving H a bone to help her pass the time while I worked on the magazine rack distressing it then stenciling the sides.

The cabinet was given another coat of primer and after washing the brushes I saw I never did the drawer front LOL Once it had a first coat I put the magazine rack together then had to find and paint hole plugs. The drawer was given a second coat and the primer now dries for 24 hours. Brushes and the stencil were washed then inside to do some computer work. I had planned to go to town but this weather changed that.

As I started my blog writing the cash register chimed with the sale of my mans valet!!! Yeah I was stoked and headed out to find a box to fit it, packaging materials etc.

When I came back in to create the shipping label I found I had ANOTHER sale 5 minutes later for the purple trinket box with pewter heart, YEAH!! Back out to get a box for it and packaging. For the next hour I printed labels, packaged them up with the enclosed care cards and all ready to hit the postal trail.

Britt surprised me arriving at 5 having left work due to miserable roads. She took the dogs (H was not a fan and had to be pushed out) and tossed a square bale in front of the closest shelter seeing most of the horses were hunkered down there. She also took the parcels to the drug store post office to get them in the system to deliver for Christmas, THANKS B!! Greatly appreciated. I wrote todays blog with my supper; you guessed it turkey soup :) I had Goliath playing by my side too (season 2 is a bit odd) and before 9 was off to bed to watch from there while the wind continued to howl but no more snow and the temp is dropping.
