B flies east

I had alarm set for 6:50 but a message dinged on my tablet at 6:30 and I was awake. B was running a little late and did not get here till after 7 but she did have a hot chai tea for me, thank you! Cooper was put inside and we were off. I dropped her at the airport 50 minutes later at 8:15 and she was off for the east. Have fun and wish Dave luck!

Speaking of luck, I won another Instagram giveaway. Today it was $25 USD Starbucks card!! Yeah. I think I forgot to share I won $50 in FREE hardware last week from D Lawless Hardware; a company that kindly sponsors many of my projects. I asked if I can pay it forward and use as  giveaway in March for my anniversary.

I had planned to go to Costco but they don't open till 10 but I guess I could stop at Superstore. Well this turned into an hour and a half shopping spree leaving with a big cart of goodies. Prices were much better there and after using $260 points on my PC card I paid $1.53 for this whole cartful.

PLUS a free $25 value party pack.

I was going to head home but seeing I was so close to a couple thrift stores I popped in to two and found some treasures. Then I was off for home swinging thru town to drop off the return parcel and grab lunch. Back at the ranch at 11:30 I hauled in the groceries, quickly ate the hot soup them went out to give horses pills and pitch hay. It is PLUS 3 today with snow in the forecast.

Back inside I ate the salad before going back out to take cat food to barn, fill shelters with salt/minerals, close the middle paddock gate and let the boys into a larger space then back in for my 2 cappuccinos of the day while doing some marketing.

The thrift store scores were sorted, each measured and photographed.

I am keeping the sweet cutting board - made by Baribocraft to boot (An old Canadian company)

Then it was time to get onto the cancer projects. I lightly sanded and cleaned the cabinet door and painted it the sage green and wet distressed. The rest of my day and evening was spent marketing; updating posts, spreadsheets and listing items for sale.

I went out at 8:30 to pitch more hay for all the horses (the girls wont go to the far bale and leave Pepper). It was so nice out with no wind and still at plus 3. I am not looking forward to this chinook ending. Then it was YouTube videos in bed with Cooper.

Big parcel to the post office

The wind was gone when I woke, yeah. The day was around zero and overcast with some sunny times.

I checked on Bandit mid morning cleaning out the poop, filling food and hay then hauling a bucket of water but he is not pleased to be away from the herd and spent most of his time pacing with the shavings all around the edges.

I finished packing up the orders, printing labels, writing thank you cards and getting them loaded up in the car to run to town. I was going to run them in at 11:30 but as I back the car out, all the horses were at the gate so I let them in and led them around to the paddocks. I put Pepper in the one behind the barn and tossed hay from the 1/2 bale S left at the gate that  blew everywhere last night. I put some in the other with the girls then let Bandit out. He was happy to roll and be near the group. It is plus 3 out now.

Then I headed to town shutting the girls main gate too. The parcels were dropped at the post office and one picked up then it was back home swinging thru Tim's to grab lunch and a tea. Back at the ranch it was book keeping and marketing.

B was home from work on a sick day and popped out at 3:30 quick to get shoes for her w/e outfit. She checked on Bandit while here too. I finally got a chance to open my parcels that arrived, holy crap I won't ever need wood filler. Anyone needing some?? ;)

My new boots fit comfy. It is good to buy things from companies that guarantee they will not come apart. These are replacement Bogs.

And the new fry pans.. well the small one is too small and had a chip so going back but the other two might work well. They sure are pretty!

Seeing we are leaving early in the am to get Britt to the airport I know I wont have time to feed the fellows so after 9 I headed out to toss them more hay. It did seem fruitless as the wind is blowing it all around after picking up after supper and they forecast it will get stronger again ;( It is back to zero but the snow is softer after the above 0 temps for a bit today.

Back to Moore's

As I was making my first cappuccino the cash register bell rang, yeah it was the big Hometalk order FINALLY going thru!! Packing it up will have to wait as I have to catch and load horses then pick up Cooper on my way to Moore's for a noon appointment but first I had to do some marketing and accounting while having a second caffeine.

After 10 the horses started to come in so I sped up getting dressed, putting on some war paint and put the items to take at the door. I took Pep's pill and gave to him then caught Bandit and tied him to the hitching post. The trailer S kindly hooked up was backed into a snow bank so could not load him right away. I caught Daisy and tied her up too to keep the herd close then ran to get truck keys and move ahead. I loaded Bandit, Daisy then caught KD and I was off to town  after 10:30 on a detour to pick up Cooper. B had left early dropping Dave at the airport. This w/e is the big award banquet he has been nominated for. Britt will be heading eat on Friday.

I rustled up Cooper and we were off arriving 5 minutes early for our 12 noon appointment. Time to walk Cooper quick for a pee then B put him in the truck after a quick hello.  KD went in first getting her eye flushed by Britt who was allowed to do so.

there was a few tries before success finally

Then Daisy was next with Britt drawing her blood to see if indeed she has cushings. Then the girls were loaded back in the trailer and Bandit has his appointment. Starting with xrays (again done by Britt) they found his back right stifle was way worse then they thought. He has major arthritis all in the joint. (stifle is like our knee) He then was sedated and stifles prepped (by Britt) for Dr Jordan to inject the joints in hopes of pain relief for the poor ole fella. He is so stoic with the amount of pain he must be in. Fingers crossed this treatment works for awhile.

prepping for xrays and the hug after they saw how bad his "knee" joint really is

getting scrubbed above and the injections below

While his sedation wore off I ran quick to the mall in B's car to do a Saje return and grab us all a hot Tim's and me a bran muffin for lunch. Once back Britt had Bandit loaded with the girls and I was off for the ranch at 2:15. I made it back just after 3 getting the girls unloaded and back in the paddock, Bandit all set up in the barn stall with bedding, feed, hay then off to the house to get water. Coop and Lola were off as soon as he was out of the truck. The poop was scooped out of the trailer when I remembered I forgot to give the girls their pills before letting them out so had to take the ranger to the gate which I opened and let them out after doing so.

bit blurry as I snapped while at stop sign quick but I had said Lola

The fedex delivery man dropped a parcel off too before I let them out; great timing. I was finally back in the house after 4. I had to answer some emails in regards to the big Etsy - Hometalk order before I ate an early supper and got started of packing up the big parcel to head to New York. Apparently the mandala lazy susan has already sold on the first day their Hometalk marketplace opened so I will just ship that directly to the buyer.

Then it was on to updating spreadsheets and sales albums etc. I did go out after 6 to check Bandit and get Cooper in for B who was detoured on route home around an accident. She arrived at 7:30 chatted briefly then her and Cooper were off home, whew long day for that girl.

The chinook winds started to blow around 7 bringing warm temps. It was plus 4 after my shower at 8 and when I got home it was below zero and at 9 am it was the days lo at -12!! The winds picked up moving stuff around the deck and by 9 it was PLUS 5. I had started a new Netflix series Goop last night and watched more tonight as the winds blew loudly. I tried to go see what was moving on the deck at 10 and could hardly push the door open the wind was so strong. It was on a couple boards but not worth picking up as they would have launched. Did I mention that my tummy and butt muscles are a bit sore after Shaina's training?

1st time to the gym!!

What a sunrise when I was up before 8. Well worth being up early to see right? I was on my second cappuccino when the rustic cooler was picked up at 9:30. I had moved it to the front deck and napped a few pictures for my smaller plan I hope I can have made. I started my day of many steps opening the yard gate for them and closing after they left.

Now to figure out what to use the cancer awareness transfer on. I found another hope chest but missed having it picked up before they moved. I am now thinking maybe break up the transfer into 3 projects; a decorative suitcase, a tray and a wood door that could also be made into a tray. Now the color decision task. I threw out a poll on Instagram. Let’s see if anyone votes.

More steps were accrued when I hiked out into the pasture to give pills today in a carrot inc the non pill takers.

The dining table sold and as part of the sale I am getting 3 months gym membership. Today Shaina is training so I am planning on trying my first pro class. I loaded the palm tree in the car only to have her say she wants to take it now once Jacob is home and use his truck. It has grown a bit since I bought them and loaded it. Now I hauled it back into the house.

The sun popped out in full force after 2 which was so nice to see. Lynda and her new husband who bought the ding table were picking up at 3 but ran a bit behind arriving before 4. We got it loaded then ended up visiting til almost 5:30. After they were off I quickly whipped up a smoothie to drink before my workout, changed to gym wear and was off to town.
I did not use this equipment but proved I was there :)

I swung by the post office to pick up 2 parcels then to the gym to meet Shaina early even. I joined her 6:15 boot camp which was really good. She had a membership sale before we were off for our supper. It was yummy steak again with deep fried dill pickles and a paralyzer to start. THANK Dude for the great gift and time spent with you. XOXOXO

I was home around 9, caught up on marketing and some YouTube and called it a night.

Hovering aorund zero

Bright sunny and loads of hoar frost on the evergreens upon waking, perfect for coffee in bed. The day stayed around zero with a bit of a wind.

Before lunch S and I donned our outerwear and took the ranger to see the hay situation. I gave pills on the way by. Seeing it was low S rolled out half a bale to get them by for the week. Then time for lunch and a pretravel rest in big brown before S was off to the airport at 2 for his usual flight north.

I putzed around cleaning and sorting staging items I have. As the sun started to go down I decided to clean the window on the deck door only to find a paw mark way above the know LOL

I also found some new travel mugs in my stash and got them washed up

The good news is it is still light after 5 now setting around 5:30. I posted the big deck cooler for sale as it is a pain to haul back and forth to the mezzanine for storage and too big and it was sold in a few hours.

The customer I painted the 2 pieces for sent a photo of the entry table with handles so I could finish the tutorial and get it posted. I worked on sorting photos and more marketing while finishing the season of The Good Place on my iPad sidekick with a smoothie for a late supper.

Foggy Sunday

The horses were back at the bale along the trees when we awoke and had our coffee. It seems Roo drug the horse blankets off the fence as B predicted :) Once they came in for water later in the morning I ran out their pills before they ventured out to the pasture later in the morning.

crazy how clear the view to town was

What started out as a sunny day changed. Crazy fog rolled in around 1 as S ran to Matt's to retrieve a forgotten tool. I brought in the dining table and staged it.

He was back about 45 minutes later and started on his GST for 2019 on the computer. Britt and Cooper were out at 2, she dropped him off for a playdate and headed back to town to "clean" her house.

These two :) and notice naughty Pepper hoping to get thru the hotwire, not this time Mr.

Speaking of cleaning house that is what I did hauling the dining table downstairs and putting the dining room back in order, vacuuming and cleaning the master bathroom. The fog lifted just like it came in at 3. It did however roll in and out briefly every now and then for the rest of the day.

Cooper was off on his own adventure in the east field so called him in to warm up and eat keeping him inside till B returned to pick him up at 5. We made our favorite taco supper then S was off to big brown to kick back and I did some more marketing before a soak in the tub. We ended the evening with another smoothie while watching the bonus features DVD from Yellowstone.
