green day

Shaina was up and out the door by 9, I tried to make her fresh coffee but no time ;/. The sun was shining predicting another great day ahead. The newest dresser got its first coat of poly and I scrubbed up a frame to paint in the same blue/green color.

Britt was up by 11 but dawdled the next couple hours away playing games and eating. The new baby grass and 1 million weeds are coming up but how does one cut them with out the heavy mower?? Well I thought of the perfect thing and it worked like a charm; the push mower. I was chopping down the wee forest as Britt pulled out at 1 to start work again on the trees.

Seeing I had poly drying on pieces I needed to sand the next project outside, perfect weather at least but hauling these big things out myself over the dog fence is a challenge but my gym workout I guess.

She was back in a couple hours as it was now 25 and smoking and needed a drink. She and I set out to feed horses but ended up spending the next couple hours running a horse spa. Pepper had most of his tail wound into a bat so I cut thru it with a knife to loosen as Britt used a brush to make it smooth. Hawk had the start of one so quickly got on it before it became like Pepper's. We alternated back and forth and eventually got them both smooth flowing tails. I dusted them both again and mixed up buckets of minerals and off we went. The two boys got to go in the far paddock that has been closed off for a few weeks so they were very excited.

Next Britt rode Daisy back leading Baby for some exercise while I dumped the other bucket int he girls shelter. Daisy got her tail coiffed by Britt while I trimmed her feet. I moved KD (AKA bat horse) in with the bossy girls just to mix it up a bit. The UPS man arrived yet again with another parcel!

We got in just before Sheldon who was late picking up rodeo passes. While supper was int he oven, Britt and I went to feed the girls, I bagged Switch's foot with ACV pad. After supper, I headed out to paint the feet of the white dresser and black wax the frame while a fellow stopped to pick up his passes and visit with Sheldon.

Britt was off to the gym at 10 and ended up there till 1 am visiting with Lynda.
