Happy Father's Day

Sunday is Father's Day started with me making the prince coffee after a wee sleep in till 9. It was a happy day as we got about 6/10ths of rain overnight, coming down nicely for at least four hours and even leaving puddles around the yard. I was up when Britt got home at 12:30 as it settled in to soak the ground.

We are supposed to be loaded and off the polox practice in Okotoks by 10:30 and even after checking with them that it was a go and they said yes , Britt and I caught the horses. It was misting a bit so I double checked and this time they said no it was like a slough. Thank goodness I double checked, time to release them out again, let Shaina know not to meet us and unload and head back to the house.

It wasn't to long and the rain was all done. Sheldon grabbed more coffee and hit the TV room for sports and a big nap while I worked on downloading pictures to the old computer and update the blog as drafts to keep up to date. By now it was really nice out so I took the dogs for a nice walk and then caught Hawk & KD.

Shaina decided since it was getting nicer she would come out after the gym and arrived just after 4. She tried to have a nap and did for about 15 minutes while Britt came out and caught Bird after she too hit the gym in the afternoon. We all tacked up and did our own thing to condition then spent some time with sticks and balls to tweak our mad skills.

Sheldon refreshed after his relaxing day, came out and mowed the driveway ditches while we rode. I whipped up some frozen margaritas so Shaina ran him out one just as he was finishing up. It was then time for him to shower quick and we all loaded up in the new car and I chauffeured us to the city. We met Kaylin at Globefish (same as we did Mother's day) to enjoy some sushi quickly before hitting the 7:45 movie, Mad Max - Fury Road. This made Sheldon's whole day as he has been dying to see it. The girls had no idea about Mad Max character but I think they got an idea after watching it ;)
Our last stop was to Joey Tomato's for appetizers (bottomless pits these girls are) and a drink. Lots of laughs were enjoyed before it was time to drop Kaylin at her car, say goodbye and then head home a little after midnight. Shaina is staying the night here so she can ride in morning before doing her golf course shift.

Happy Fathers Day to our fantastic fathers too, we love ya!
