The balers did not move fast but eventually started raking at 11:30 and round bales rolling up around 3. The day was spent visiting with more rounds of food and drink.
needed to back the Buick up in this all Ford lineup
Deb drove Chuck to the airport at 2 for his 5 pm flight back to Vegas and she continued on to visit friends. Mom and Dad, Dale's and Travis loaded up and were off around 2:30 heading various directions to shop a bit before going home, getting gas or just heading home.
Craig and Amanda stayed to visit until just after 4. By now the small square baler finally got moving. He eventually brought a tractor and rake guy over to fluff it up ahead of him. Steph had a nice nap while Britt enjoyed more TV time. I updated the blog and enjoyed the sunshine and watching the bales be wrapped up.
Britt, Steph and I had quick supper then watched Hot Chick ad when done at 10 the bales were all finished too, 105 round and 530 small square.

794 - surprise party
Day 794 is forecast to hit a high of 30 and it started out beautiful as Britt was off to stables leaving at 6:39 am. The rest of us enjoyed a sleep in. I was up and showered ready for our party day. Shaina gave the Aussie boys a ride to their car at 10 am and they headed to Okotoks for the w/e.
Once back Shaina was kind enough to curl my hair then she and I went and moved corral panels to give the skinnies some more pasture. Carol came to pick up her 2 horses at 11 as Britt arrived home from work.
Just before 2:30 Dale's family arrived and soon after, Mom and Dad and Amanda's family. The afternoon was sunny with the kids enjoying the trampoline. Dale and Craig kindly put the netting up. Travis showed up later in afternoon.
Chuck and Debby arrived around 4?? Craig helped me by cooking hamburgers and Mom made many salads, thanks everyone. Kaylin and Aaron came just after we started to eat at 7. It was a night of visiting and laughs and gun shooting contests. Dale started a campfire and many enjoyed it too.

Kaylin left later in the evening. The townies left about 11:30 and the rest headed to bed around then other than the girls who watched movies till later.

793 - party preperations
Day 793 was yet another gorgeous sunny day. The girls slept in after getting home at 1 am. Shannon stayed over but left at 9:30 and the others slowly got up around 11.
I got busy feeding hay to horses, feeding kittens and dogs and watering flowers and trees. This was the time sucker but they sure needed water with this heat stretch.
Shaina was off for her teeth cleaning at 12. Kitties Boo and Pip were picked up around 1 heading to their new homes. Sad to see them go but know they are off to great homes.
Once back home Shaina napped after a week of late nights but was up by 3 to hose KD cheek out and help get tidied up for the w/e. I cleaned and sorted while the girls hung streamers and a birthday banner. Shaina left for work for 5 to close and Britt then went to bed. I made tacos for supper!
A fellow stopped to pick up the old trampoline at 6:30 and once loaded Britt Steph Coco and I drove to town to Amanda's. She and the kids joined us for a walk to the C store for a sno-jo for Britt then DQ for treats for the rest of us. We stopped at their hose for a glass of water and quick snuggle before coming home at 9:30.
The girls watched Scream while I changed bedding and pitched hay. I then joined them as did Shaina who was home from work about 10:30. We all headed to bed around 11:30 but Shaina kindly ran and picked up the Aussie boys at 1 am.

792 - grand central station
Day 792 was another lack of sleep night. After Steph was safely here the movie goers showed up at 1:30. Sheldon got up at 3:45 and had Shaina ready to roll by 4:15am. She was back in the bright sunshine at 5:45 again as he was about to take off. I went and woke Britt up at 6:30 and she was off to the stables before 7. Now it was Shaina's turn to be up at 8:15 and she left for work before 9.
I got ready for work, pitched hay to horses, fed dogs and kittens and headed to work. Not so easy anymore with 4 scampering kittens so after corralling them all and setting them on my lap I could safely back out before putting them back in the garage and closing the door. I left Steph and the fellows sleeping. I deposited Shaina's tip money and grabbed a Canadian Colada Booster Juice for work.
My work is very quiet as the Bow has been shut down since the flooding and will continue until Monday at the earliest. The office however was very busy with city folk working on backup stuff at every available computer in our office. Amanda and the kids stopped for a brief visit at my office before I had to run to my dental cleaning at 12. I grabbed a few groceries on the way home.
Britt was back home after 11 and the boys headed to Banff for the night. She spent much time napping while Steph read until I got home at 1:30 and made some lunch. Britt ran Caleb and her to town quick to get report cards and grab a few groceries I missed :-)
Steph and I took the kitties out only to find we had a angry weasel under the wood pile. Eventually it managed to escape while Diego continued to dig in the pile looking for it. The rest of the afternoon was relaxed with lots of say yes to the dress shows. Shaina was home from work around 3:30.
the angry weasel?

who like to sleep in dust pans
Steph braving the wood pile to help digging D
Brittany drove Shaina, Stephanie and Shannon to wing night at the station just before 9. Stephanie gets to experience her first night at the bar. I pitched hay to the horses and caught up the blog, finally to date! It was then time to relax in bed and catch up on a PVR show while Britt relaxed until returning to town to pickup the girls later tonight.

791 - hay is all cut
Day 791, beautiful sunny day. Sheldon was up at 7 and headed out to finish cutting the hay which he did by 11:30. I was up at 8 and out watering the flower beds and feeding horses. I even delivered the swather man a cappuccino. (although his compressor bust on his air conditioning last night so a cold beverage might have been better) I spent the next few hours updating the blog which is a task as I have not done it since last Thursday!
Shaina was up and ate before heading to work for 11. The boys were up visited a bit and ate before heading to town to golf just before noon. I had to flog Britt up to eat and get on the road to Hanna for what is hopefully her last trip at 12:30.
here is the finished pillars rock only
After lunch Sheldon dumped the pea gravel and held Pepper while I trimmed his feet. I also hosed out KD's cut, seems no one did yesterday :-(
Back in the house at 3 Sheldon napped while I updated accounting. The boys arrived home around 4:30 tuckered out. They did help me get the horses in the small pen to wait until girls arrive. Britt was home at 5:30 and Shaina at 6. They changed and we loaded horses up and headed to Calgary for polocrosse practice. It was a gorgeous night.. minus the mosquitoes!!
We finished up around 9:30, loaded them up and headed east making a well earned stop at DQ on the way. The fellows were refreshed and met us at Langdon taking the girls back to the city to see the movie This is the End. Sheldon and I continued home making food, unloading, feeding and blanketing horses in the dark and putting in pastures. I tossed Shannon's horses and the skinnies hay for the night. We finally got in the house at 11:30 showered and Sheldon packed up a small bag for work tomorrow.
Kaylin and Aaron made it safely home from Vegas bring Stephanie with them. After a slight misdirection given to Steph they loaded up and safely delivered her to us at 1 am. They picked up Lexi and headed to their apartment not sure what they would find.
