Spare room gets a deep clean

Dreary overcast and chilly day. S chatted up Matt about his price findings and it seems it is a go ahead even at the increased price. I put the hardware on the sideboard but of course saw a few places to repaint yet again. This piece needs to be picked up soon :) S buzzed his hair and I touched up the neck.

I forgot to share these videos of Renn being dramatic about her sore teeth from yesterday

It was time to put the furnace room back in order. Rugs back down after washed and floor swept. The under stair storage arranged and the ping pong tables slid in place. While we were on it, S vacuumed the basement and I used the mattress end on Dyson to clean the pool table. It took out most of the blue chalk marks.

Leftover lunch was with the global news. S hit the couch for a nap and I started cleaning the spare room closet. This was my task for the rest of the afternoon. I let go of many bedding type items like my childhood bedroom red and blue Afghans, curtains, pillow shams but kept the feather stuffed owl and the spider quilt. My room was based on raggedy Ann and Andy lamps Mom made me in ceramics many moons ago.

baby afghans crocheted by Grandma W (l) and a flannel swaddler by Grama Pat (r)

my childhood bedroom bedding, owl, kitten trunk and crystal lamp (originally was shiny brass)

washed up this sweet quilt that says To Shaina Lee Love Stacie <3

Kaylin's teen bedding and her little girl quilt (rest of set not to be found)

More crocheted afghans I had Grandma Walker make from Mary Maxim kits

There were so many crocheted afghans grandma W made that I struggled with parting with but do know they may keep someone warm who needs it. That and Shaina and Britt each called one.

When S got up, he continued his basement vacuuming with in depth using crevice & dusting attachments. He vacuumed the girls room too with only B’s room sucking up a few metal sounding goodies! He moved the bison hide out to rumpus room. I washed up baby blankets to put some in play pen and have for when Renn visits. I sorted thru shower gifts I had stored and planned to open a new box of Pyrex bowls. S and I decided maybe I should see their value seeing unopened as Pyrex it popular. I am gifting a box of 3 stacking cooling racks for cookie chef Nathan who has none. Other laundry was thrown in too. Lots of curtains were stacked for the thrift store too.

At 4:30 we took Harley for a walk to the gate as said -2 but there was a biting wind again. She was fed and we were back at our tasks. S ran the vacuum around great room. I continued sorting and arranging but this closet task will take way more time. S started finding tax numbers off the computer to put together.

dyson pool table demo

Good Food was delivered today so the first meal - spicy glazed pork meatballs was created. It was tasty. I finished the pool table now the Dyson was charged. B was out late today before 8 to feed and give Roo bute as back legs sore. The rest did not seem sore as all were racing around and rearing and having quite a burst of energy.

S and I watched this from the hot tub after B left during a Flames intermission. The wind let up so it was not bad out finally. Back inside a quick shower and finish the game which was another loss. Time to watch a couple episodes of Lessons In Chemistry. Some parts are very different from the book but different take I guess.
