COLD still

The internet issue was finally resolved after 36 hours? S made coffee and was on phone calls after 8, I had my coffee and quick check to see my emails and listen in on a few calls before Sharon arrived. She brought tea and donuts for our visit. S was lucky enough to get his favorite apple fritter when he popped up from his calls and computer work downstairs. THANKS Sharon.

She was off after 12:30 as I was off to help Sheldon with his retirement plans including trying to get a phone to work. His laptop and iPhone have been disconnected and even though we have an array of old iPhones on hand we cannot get any to transfer his data. I did spend time inquiring about setting him up with us on our Bell plan but it requires of course a new SIM card. They can mail a free one in 3-5 days or go buy one in town.

This is one Sagewood February birthday board

I made us a spinach fruit salad for a late lunch before 2 then we were back at the phone challenge. Just before 4 we headed outside in the -14 but bitter wind cold. I fed Bird and he walked to the gate to find the mice had ate thru the tape and pulled out steel wool back in the power box. He went back with super sticky duct tape with the ranger to block holes again. I caught up the blog, good thing I had scheduled a creative moments FB post for each day at 6 before the internet went down. S was back in short order fixing the mouse holes but his fingers were froze.

We got back to troubleshooting his phones while I cooked up a pot of chili. I spent more time with Bell to confirm his new line added to our family account. Now we have to get a phone working. My phone is not backing up so both of us were on chat apple support after supper at the same time. Neither of us had any resolution gosh darn it. I do have my l phone 12 I have not sent back so if nothing else he can use it an buy it out. Crazy that only 1 of the 4 work phones he has might even work. We took a break at 9 to go for a hot tub and holy moly it was brisk at -15 feeling like -30!! After a shower S was back to the hitmen game on TV with young Connor Bedard stealing the show then catted with another buddy via zoom for an hour. I crawled into bed to read as the winds picked up and continued to howl all night. Says -17 with wind chill -29!!
