What a beautiful sunrise today!! Seeing H slept in garage there was no middle of the night let outs. I even laid in bed playing some games till S got a coffee for us I had turned on earlier. H had a late breakfast and I got to marketing. I was excited to see an Etsy sale; the purple trinket box. I bundled it up and got ready for the mail along with a couple return parcels. S did his morning news peruse. It was -8 when I awoke but now already -4.
The trash was tossed on the way by then S dropped me off to help Dad with his lunch while he and H went to take the recyclables to depot. Dad was not in the best of moods today wanting to get out of there but I did get him to eat his dinner and morning meds he missed. After he finished, I pushed him to his room for a short visit and got him some Cheetos as he was hungry still.
S picked me up after 1 then off to the hockey arena for his shinny. I ran errands dropping off return parcels, picking up new parcels and mailing the Etsy parcel, grabbed some beer, took a quick loop thru the thrift store then got some groceries. I was done all this by 2 so picked up a tea and headed back to visit Dad as I promised if I had time. He was walking down the hall so I asked if he wanted to keep walking and head outside as it is now PLUS 3 (according to the merc). He said sure and off we went, as we got closer to the door I asked about a car ride which he was totally game for. Once he was loaded in, I took him for a drive to see our old house then to Britt's. He enjoyed a nap for part of the ride. I picked up Cooper to add to the dog chauffer service then took Dad back after 3. When we got to his floor the cooking group had fresh hot gingersnaps they offered us. SOOOO delicious!! I left Dad with a second one having enjoyed his time out of the place.
I arrived 5 minutes before the slated pickup time but turned out the hockey player was delayed 20 minutes. Once he was out and had his equipment loaded, we headed for the ranch arriving home before 4. The dogs were off for a play while S put away his equipment and beer and I the groceries. It was not long after that Nathan arrived to drop Lexi off while they head to LA this weekend. He stayed for a short visit then headed back to the city.
I cooked up a pot of chili while S cracked nuts I had picked up as his after game snack and supper appetizer. It was good then I got on the computer writing more tutorials and catching up the blog while S watched sports and the 3 dogs went in and out like yoyo's with the coyotes yipping. Good thing S put the kitties away for the night earlier.
We headed out for a hot tub soak only to turn the corner and find the winds had picked up so turned around and headed back in. I filled the tub and had a soak while reading my book. The winds picked up even more but the temperature stayed at -2. I moved to bed to keep reading and S had a soak in the tub. Britt arrived around 8:30 to feed the horses having car issues again after filling. Sheldon trouble shot it online, looked on the car while she was here then continued his research after she and Cooper headed home.
