I was awake at 7:30 texting with Mom and AJ. Dad did not take meds or drink overnight so the DR was called to discuss admitting him for IV hydration. It was a gorgeous morning, sunny with no wind. Perfect weather to celebrate our 32 nd anniversary. After feeding H and a coffee I let horses out and gave meds. A courier delivered a parcel as I fed the cats. On the way to the house I saw a sink hole under the long raised garden, yikes!
Harley knows when we start packing something is up and sticks very close by
Dad was taken to hospital, got IV then late afternoon admitted to acute care. I had a phone dr appointment who chatted about all my results and changed the prescription seeing I was back to stomach cramps after taking sulfatrim. Kombucha bottling was done with pineapple and sweet tea made for the scoby.
I headed to town at 2 for my annual hair highlight appointment. When done I grabbed yet another prescription, a couple ice caps then picked up Cooper and headed to the ranch. I delivered a frosty ice cap to the gardener as he was cutting the laneway. He had spent all after noon making the lush green grass look awesome. Amazing what some fertilizer and 5" of rain will do.
He showered while I unboxed my paint parcel delivered this am. We headed into town to celebrate our anniversary supper at Mike's Bar & Grill; first time we have ate there and it was very good food. The interior could use some updating and finishing and more then one poor waitress on (another never showed). The flapper pie dessert was good but not as good as Britt's :)
Good thing I picked up Cooper as B worked late not getting here till around 8:30. She fed, S got in the hot tub then I went out to help her put away the 2 horses in stalls. She gave meds and I refilled water. As she was getting ready to leave Sheldon said we haven't seen the stray cat around only to look down at J and over to rail and see said orange cat. This led to B getting up and eventually holding it. Seems it is a housecat that was dumped. Looks like he is staying so now to name him. It seems Gulliver as is Gulliver's travels may be best suited.
She and Cooper headed home after 10 I joined S in the hot tub just before but lightening started so we got out as she headed home. Not long after it started to rain but not for a long time. Relaxing in bed I worked on blog with S surfing the net then he made cocktail sauce to go with shrimp I picked up earlier. Yum great way to end our special day
