Cinco De Mayo & some rain finally

Happy Cinco De Mayo everyone!! Today Kaylin and Nathan are off to Philadelphia till Sunday, have fun!

I ran out in my housecoat to shut the barn horse door that blew open overnight. Then I had coffee alone as Mom is fasting for her appointment. I hauled up the office chair and got the plants and it loaded up in Mom's car for our run to the city. I made a dental appointment for Dad for next week

We headed off before 10:30 to town to fill with fuel and pick up the paperwork for Dad's dental appointment then headed west. I dropped Mom off early for her biopsy hoping she would get in early, but no such luck. On my way to Shaina's I stopped at Home Sense and grabbed 2 plant baskets. Once at her place I unloaded the chair and plants and waited for her to be done a call. She made us a tea and we watched The Circle as she worked on her laptop and the puppies played.

I snapped a few pics of the desk for a tutorial

This is only partial puppy gear, there is a kennel and the pups in the back seat too :)

Once Mom was done at 2 I picked her up and we returned to Shaina's and walked to a nearby restartaunt for a late lunch and Mom's first coffee of the day. Shaina ate before us and was back to her place for another call. We walked back once we were done and loaded up ALL the puppy stuff and the puppies, gave her a hug goodbye as last time seeing her before her trip and headed east.

We arrived home just before 5 seeing a fire just to the south (turns out it was an old tractor), unloaded all the dog paraphernalia, fed H, soaked beet pulp then took them for a pee before setting it up. I got to work on computer stuff as did Mom before she headed to town to visit Dad before 6. Amanda and the 3 littles arrived soon after to drop off Asher's baseball pants to get washed and play with the pups before heading back to Asher's baseball practice at Cairn Hill.

Harley was very excited to have the dogs visiting (video)

I got the laundry load in and back to computer when S called for a quick visit at 7. He was getting groggy on the phone and may not make it to the late playoff game time. B arrived just before 7:30, snuggled beans a little then headed out to feed. The few drops of rain since home when walking dogs turned into an all out rain which was very welcome (not for B who was standing in the field feeding horses) but was followed up with a crazy wind that blew it away. Before leaving Britt kindly put the cats away for the night! Thanks!!

crazy rain cloud rolling in

Mom was back after 8 not long after B left bringing chai teas again, yum! Thanks! We had a  banana muffin with it for our supper seeing we did not finish lunch till 3:30. After putting the dogs to bed, Lexi in with me were hit the sheets after a long day.
