Another play off game!!

I served the prince coffee in bed after feeding H and we got our days plans made. Letting the cats out as we let for town after 9:30, S dropped me at my doctors for my annual check up that in fact has been 5 years since last ;) He ran to Canadian tire to get a trailer part and found the stand up BBQ we saw at Costco on sale for $100 off so scored it.

He was back to pick me up and we headed over to take Dad for a walk. It was blustery and cool out but Dad said no problem, he would rather get out windy or not. We left after visiting in his room when his doctor came to do his check up. On to get groceries and some red wine then ack to the ranch at 12:30 for lunch. We had beef tenderloin sandwiches, fancy heh?

All day S had been looking at Flames tickets and after sourcing back and forth with the girls and guys we eventually narrowed it down to 3 of us going with S finding center ice 212 tickets. Prices were dropping as the game got nearer with these at $370 each but Fridays game were increasing.

My doctor had requisitioned an ultrasound and it seems we have a new clinic in Strathmore. They called at 2 and said they just had a cancellation, could I come? (Next booked appointment was June 3) OK now to chug 6 cups of water fast. S drove me back in and did his phone dr call in the parking lot while waiting. Technology makes these things so easy as does the Covid change to in person visits when not needed. My ultrasound appointment took over an hour with a machine company rep on hand as well overseeing which I think extended the time.

We then jetted back home; HOLY WIND once back from town I saw Roo had removed her own mask, yikes. I vacuumed and tidied the house while S gave H a well needed bath and hosed out the hot tub filters in the garage. We got jersey-ed up for the game and headed back to town to pick up Dave at 5 and off to the city we went.

We parked in our usual lot and made our way in hoping to get a seat in one of the restaurants, good luck. It was standing room only. Eventually we got a seat but the wings were subpar (an order of half S&P half hot came hot with S&P sprinkled on them) and happy hour was on the concourse so we grabbed a couple and made our way to our seats. The intro and game started with a BANG!!

then near the end there was a fisty cuff (video)

The second period was not as spectacular with the prince getting a bit grumpy lol but soon turned his frown upside down. This was another electric energy game that was well worth the cost of admission. Dave even tossed his hat at the end for Tkachuk made his hat trick. Great advertising for Dave Kelly racing :) I became the DD early on and good thing as the exodus was police patrolled and packed but I dropped Dave off and we were home just after midnight. Time for our usually midnight soak in the tub this time with no moon or stars. Another busy action packed day!
