Projects galore

New day same routine, H let out at 5:55 to a lovely sunrise then garage opened for her to wait for breakfast. The day looks to be cooler as only 14 now so the garage cooled quick. After her breakfast I made a couple caps and did some marketing. A tutorial was started for one of the coffee tables.

B dropped Cooper off as I was painting the dresser base a lighter white color. I am still not sure this is the color either. I took apart the frame yesterday that was dropped off so got it's makeover going. The backside was painted and left to dry.

Moving back to the drawer fronts I hauled out and 150 grit sanded them. The legs were sanded to bare wood too.

What do you think? I think the body needs something bolder? I posted to allow a buyer to choose their color but so far no takers.

Then it was time to flip the frame and paint the front side.

Seeing I was on a roll with the stripper I decided to strip the dresser drawer fronts as well. First I took off the sparse hardware then carefully removed the echelons.

They are ready to go, stripper was applied and covered in plastic and left to wait.

The frame was clear coated and once dry dark wax added.

The dresser top was sanded to 150 as well and in need of a good cleaning.

The frame was put all back together and a few pictures snapped.

The drawers were now ready to scrape.

The stain used is so dark and there are so many crazy scratches.

The drawers were then scrubbed and neutralized with water.

B was back at 4 as I was sanding a stripped and scrubbed now dry drawer front bringing me an iced coffee, THANKS. She had some chores then popped out to scrub the dresser inside after I had sanded the outside quick. She was then off to lunge Bird. I fixed a drawer bottom and set some weight on it to flatten then came in to finish yesterdays blog. While I was in scrubbing mode I took apart an antique chair, vacuumed the gunk out and scrubbed well and left to dry.

Paetz's stopped out after 6 to grab stuff from trailer, drop a parcel off and have a quick visit, they were off in about half hour. Britt finished up her feeding and fly sheet fitting and headed home at 7 as I was eating a salad for supper. Time to fold all those loads of laundry and put away and start a few more before hopping in the shower. Next up was a long awaited floor vacuuming then out to hand water my garden. It stayed pretty cool all day but warmed up in the afternoon and hit 26. The kitties got soft food then in to work on todays blog which is quite long as you can see. I watched Blind spot while folding laundry and blogging. I finished the table tutorial then loaded photos for 4 more tutorial projects before heading to bed to watch there after 10:30.
