Painting pink

The day was a usual start and included boxing up the Etsy parcel and getting the shipping label created. H and I went and let cats out. It was plus 4 with chinook winds. I cannot believe I have a 100 pound black haired dog living in the house. I don't like hair all over or dirty feeling floors but it seems that with 1 resident, 1 daily visiting and 1 occasional visitor the floors are always dirty. Today I made it my mission to vacuum and wash the main floor before getting on to creating.

Then it was on to finally trying a pink milk paint on the little carved box.

A fellow painter messaged asking about the rocking horse and bought it for her niece having her first baby. I did touch ups on it then waxed the base after waxing the trinket box.

B and C were out around 1:30, I finished up and we took the dogs out for a good walk in what started as sunshine PLUS 5 then it got cloudy. Back inside I painted another wee wooden box with the pink milk paint while Britt fed Bird. The gas guys rolled in again and set up yet another rig on the one well head just before 3. Britt and Cooper went back to town after 3 dropping my parcel off at the post office, THANK YOU! The gas guys were gone by 3:30.

I worked on tutorials while watching Little Fires Everywhere on my iPad. I invited B for supper cooking up chicken souvlaki/quinoa. She was back at 5:30 to join me then off by 6 again putting cats away before she left. Thanks B. I got back to blog/computer work but headed to bed to keep watching after 8:30 with a smoothie.
