Stampede 2019 done and dusted

Saturday morning was a misty looking Irish start to the w/e. There was no rain but it looked like it could. Perfect weather to take my coffee and write a tutorial for the red jewelry box while the prince slumbered in bed with his.

inspection underway

Time to shower and get ready to head to stampede. Organizing with Shaina to meet for Lexi so she does not stay home all day alone and seeing Kaylin gets back home tonight was finalized to meet at Earl's on 16th. We set off at 11 filling with fuel on our way.

Jacob met us at Earl's to collect Lexi seeing Shaina had a late work night. Thanks Jacob! We enjoyed a lovely brunch on the patio compliments of a service company gift card S received. The weather was sunny and warm.

We were then off to park and hit up the Calgary Stampede, we even ended up with free $25 parking ;) The grounds were a mass of people as per usual and the trade show really had nothing new to offer us but I did buy some metal straws I had being wanting.

should I get these $1295.00 extensions? they are on for half price.. and bonus gifts ;)

Stopping by Shannon Ford's art booth

maybe a new hot tub??

We stopped back at the car for a refreshment and saw the dark clouds to the west. After cruising the grounds a bit more and the wind picking up we headed for the bar in the Big 4, just in time to beat the ground hurrying out of the rain.

straws it is ;)

We did another tour of the trade show before heading to our evening seats after 7. The weather was really nice for the whole evening but good thing we brought layers of clothes. The chucks were good but the grande stand show failed to impress me compared to past ones we have seen. The Argentinian guachos were good and the pole guy but the rest.. meh!

pretty rainbow for some of the chucks

 the clouds were crazy!

The fireworks however never disappoint.

The cattle drive of people to get out of the park was horrendous but we got to the car at 11:30 having put on 14,000 + steps (almost 10 kms) The drive home was uneventful with an excited Lola to see us back after midnight. Stampede 2019 done and dusted!

here is our hard working beer tub girl!
