Island complete!!

I was awake at 7 am, after perusing Instagram and Pinterest for over an hour I got my coffee and let the sleeping prince sleep in after his hard day in the island. Once he got up and caffeinated we headed out to continue on the island. Today is mulch application day.

I am not sure who found me this cool tequila bottle but I love it

Birds eye view

Starting with the wheelbarrow for the north end, I would lift while S tossed under and I leveled. I had a good idea to add boards around the edge to lift the low growing evergreens over the edge and save on mulch and stop the dogs digging hopefully. By the end of the day the evergreen scratches her terrible all over my arms.

We took a lunch break then back at it with the bucket to really get moving. We were almost done when Shaina arrived at 2 for S to change her oil. She took over scooping the last bucket full out of the trailer while I scrubbed the last of my bottles and put on the tree. I am short about 25... any blue bottle wine drinkers?

Once she was off to do her training and boot camps we did the fern leaf peony bed quick with the bucket left. Time to get ready to head to town to celebrate Craig's 36th birthday. I did run the horses supplments before we were off after 5. We had a courier notice at the gate so stopped by the delivery drop to find it not there, grr.

Craig cooked the most delicious steak and Amanda the yummiest zoodle mix and birthday cake. It was such a delectable meal, THANKS for having us. We had a great visit with everyone, Happy 36th Craig!!
