Cinco de Mayo

I was awake before 8 perusing Instagram and the snow was covering the yard but by the time coffee was served at 9 and I came out to check emails it was melting fast. By noon it was all gone but still cool and overcast. S had another slow start to the day enjoying a couple more cups of java in bed.

I was keen to get the tub tray stencilled. Why do I drink 2 cups of coffee before this steady hand needed work LOL. After they were done I took them out and gave them a clear coat and left them to dry, finished!

Next it was on to the sideboard. I clear and black waxed it and love it. S took a trip to the shop to putz around before heading in to cook up some bacon for BLT's for lunch. He had cut veggies too which was nice to have lunch made. He had his nap and I went back out to the garage. I painted the rest of the drawer fronts pink but I am not convinced I like it.

For the dresser body I went back to my original vision of white mixing up white milk paint. It looks much better. I tested the one pink drawer front adding the white milk paint over it and think I like it better too.

S had went out to putz again but was back in to watch hockey highlights. I gave the horses supplements before I came in to join him for a brew then work on blog posts as I am a bit behind again. I then headed back out to sand and add another coat of milk paint on the dresser. While holding up drawer fronts to see which one I liked pink or white washed pink I dropped the one and dinged it up. This required sanding and repairs tomorrow, time to come in and prep supper.

Cinco de Mayo need tacos, tonight is fish tacos. They turned out good even though we were missing cilantro and avocado S (the ones s bought were not ripe ;( Of course they were served with a frosty margarita!

We rounded our Sunday Cinco de Mayo with Game of Thrones!
