I was wide awake so got busy on social media getting my posts on then headed out to get working on the projects. It is getting hot already, today is going to be a doozy they say. I sanded the dresser edges and painted the 2 chairs black.
They passed Grady on their way out, he came to fix the broken swather tooth from last night. What a great guy, he had it replaced in short order and gave me a quick lesson on how to swath. He made a pass and I on the way back then he was off. THANKS Grady!!!
Now there are a few downsides to this swathing business... one the A/C does not seem to be working nor do I have a nice lady to bring me cold drinks and snacks every couple hours nor a maid to pack me a lunch to take along but I got busy. Lordy let me tell you the 32 degree heat was stifling and even I was sweating. Poor Sheldon would have been a puddle. He tried to have me trouble shoot it with a faulty switch as the issue but no luck. Eventually I just drove with the door open (note: lots of dust comes in the cab).
Shaina has used all the data for the month and even 2.5 additional GB she added a few days ago so there was no sharing pictures or even messaging, only texts and phone calls. I stopped at 3 to refill my water, grab a cold beer and eat a bologna sandwich quick then back at it.
I found Lola's pony.. rest in pieces poor pony
last swath
Around 5 I noticed a car at the gate and in short order remembered a customer was dropping off custom pieces. I drove the swather to the gate, shut it off, let her in and jumped in with her to take them to the house and unload. Paint color was fine tuned and I was dropped back at the swather on her way out. However when I went to start... NOTHING!! Yet another call to the prince had him remembering this happening another time and it required me to short out some relay. HMMMM well low and behold after describing many little boxes sans photos I found what I thought might be it. I shorted it out with a hammer (and did not get the shock he prepared me for ;)and it started up and guess what, the A/C kicked in!!! Even though I would have like the blower on high I never moved the dial on the dang faulty switch but for the next hour I finally could shut the door and be cooler. By now I was much smoother at raising and lowering the header with just a finger and able to turn and go with ease, I found the left arm rest and sure wished I had the cooler air for the first 4 hours HAHAHA
I finished the field at 7 pm!! YEAH ME!!! After parking it in the shade I was in the shower in no time to get all the itchy dust and grime washed off and my nose cleaned out. The next order of business was feed the dogs and make a frosty paralyzer!!
