polocrosse field of dreams

I had coffee made and delivered to Kaylin as she got ready for work. She was off at 9. I got busy painting the dresser and desk their first white coat of paint before the two other girls were up and ready to tackle the polox field.

We all got busy in the hot hot sun.. (only 24 but feels hotter when no shade and dry out) prepping the field. Rocks were picked and re picked via quad passes after Sheldon swathed.

digging in posts proved too dry so water was hauled to soak all day for easier digging

supervisor loved the quad for shade and rides

our fitness instructor had us doing lunges while picking rock

 wide mower!

Gopher holes, divots and the old road tracks were filled with top soil, chopped and raked. We took a quick hydration and snack break just before 5 when the other club members rolled in to help.

filling of the holes and divots

these girls worked HARD, well done my lovlies!!

Measuring and marking the field along with even more rock picking and hole filling took a couple hours. We ran out of marking paint 7 cans in but had the main areas marked and could now tack up and have a wee practice.

 first goal thru new posts

Kaylin was home after 8 and spent some time on the deck relaxing after her long day. We joined her for a bit once everyone had horses untacked, hosed, fed and loaded up and off.
