dresser gets stain and milk paint

Another gorgeous morning. Time to get to work on the dresser and high chair

 mixing up the milk paint

and I pulled off the rusty old casters, not sure how to clean them up

it cracks me up all the little nails added in odd places, what were they used for?

 the paint goes on

and as it dries it chips like I hoped after the first coat

then on to the high chair

Britt home a 1:30 soon a piece I bought online garage sale was delivered too my door! Great service there

milk paint dries fast so it was not long before I could do coat number 2, above it is the left side with dry 1st coat on right. After 2 coats were on, I left to dry while She and I went riding. Sheldon pulled in as we were catching them but he chose to hit the couch.

It was such a lovely day I stayed out once done riding and watered everything well and did more deadheading. Sheldon came out and soaked one of his bison heads in water to reactivate the process of cleaning to skull bone.

After yet another good supper I headed back out to the garage to stain the dresser top, walnut

and I LOVE it

 so pretty right?

  1. Beautiful wood in that dresser - quarter turn oak to match our piano! and Grandpa's sideboard in our living room ;-)
