roll the oats over - lots of pics

Sunny Saturday starts with a relaxing coffee served in bed as usual ;) but there was lots of projects on the go once it got started. Britt was off to work for her 9:30 shift. I spent the day in the garage. Big project for the day, the round dining table with this as my inspiration

I started sanding the round dining table but could see this would be daunting with this rubbery finish so out came the stripper.

 bubble bubble.. then scrape

all this from the old finish

Sheldon checked the oats and found them wet underneath so spent most of his day raking them over, again with the platinum "tractor".

Once the table was stripped and scrubbed, it had a day of painting many layers trying to achieve this look, MANY layers with sanding between and lots of fretting and adding a 3rd grey to the mix

I also hauled over another press back chair and it and the round back got a good scrub and repairs done. I also brought out a jumbo mirror and ended up painting it in similar colors to the table.

It was a hot one coming in at 27, when Britt got home from work, she helped Sheldon load the rake now that all the oats were flipped and drying. She then rode while Sheldon moved all our hay bales to the new stack area. I whipped up a couple yummy strawberry daquaries to help with the heat.

Bird is NOT liking these backing up butt exercises

I also removed the dresser hardware from this mirror and cleaned up for the custom paint customer to show her husband ;)

Today is Lola's 2nd birthday!!

Britt was off to have a sleepover with Cassie as Sheldon and I cooked up smokies and zucchini for our light supper. We were just finished when Shaina arrived from work to stay over so she grabbed a bit then she and I went riding, her on Baby and me, Switch. We hit up Matt's cows again and had a funny poop cleanup in his yard with a snow shovel. Sheldon was off to return the rake while we were riding.
LIttle Miss Switch's first time with cows was so nerve wracking, she would have loved to ride on Baby with Shaina but eventually came around to gathering she was bigger although she still is cautious

and Shaina frustrated with my videoing skills.. dang it is the old cell phone, not me ;)
Switch's sarcoma.. 3" but will take a better picture for reference.. darn cell camera hahaha

Back just before it got dark at 9, (sadly) it was untack and meds for Switch and Shaina was off to town for a couple hours to visit Cass & Kate then back to start Game Of Thrones. Sheldon headed to bed once home while I finished sorting more online CM photo albums into projects under paint companies.. yep I am OCD like that and I went out and tweaked the table one last time while putting the dogs to bed.
