landscape project started

Hmm awake at 6 after Sheldon said goodbye, chatted a bit with the girls then got moving. I thought the landscape crew would be here by 8:30 but they arrived after 9. I had fed the dogs and taken pre shots ready to go. Diego loves landscaping cause he gets to spend the whole day inside the garage on his pillows!

work begins and sand delivered

The overcast dreary 17 day was perfect to get to work in the garage .. more work on the dining table, hopefully this coat works. I left it to dry, sand and then dry good before the next step which was top coat later in the afternoon.

The recent coffee table I picked up  I filled the damaged areas under the glass and sanded yesterday so today I scrubbed up and put on first coat of gray. Once dry, wet distressing the edges was next on the to do list.

Patio progress was going well. Sheldon was home around 4, he of course had to have his hour nap. Mom popped out to grab her saddle before heading home to Oyen after her week here.

I went back to working on the dining table, this time adding dark wax to the corners and crevices to age and add dimension. When he awoke he put insecticide on the trees while I trimmed more evergreens back in hopes of encouraging growth.

without and with dark wax

We cooked up a steak supper as a brief rain squall moved in.. couple happened today but last only minutes, maybe tonight. Once cleaned up we headed to the garage to move furniture and put the chevy in there. What an exhaust smell though.. yuck, that and bug chemicals. dang it

The rain did fall a bit more so I painted the coffee table another coat of gray and worked more on the dining table.. this thing is a constant challenge finishing up at 10 and calling it quits and Netflix time ;)
