company's coming

Britt was up and off to work for 10, busy working girl she is. She does have tomorrow off for our first in city practice. I was lucky to get a hot coffee and creamer served in bed by a very handsome exotic dancer, thanks! Once up and at it, I got busy cleaning the main area for our company tonight while Sheldon got  chance to put away all the laundry I had folded and stacked and sort thru the pile of new work clothes I picked up for him in the city.

Tonight Stouts are coming to visit and maybe play cards. Finally after 3 years of being on exact opposite schedules we can plan for fun nights ahead! Once the house was all tidy, I went out to water the wee evergreens, grab a shelf from storage and my hoof knives. Sheldon unhooked the horse trailer and hooked up the dump trailer (which needed air in all tires) and do errands for neighbor Matt. He headed to town at lunch to run them.

I scrubbed up the sweet shelf Papa made me, that is going to work perfect in the ensuite. Then it was time to wax the file cabinet. I was very pleased the dark wax tone down the bright white and enhanced the wood grain. The hardware got scrubbed and sprayed up too.

Britt got home around 3:30, she peeled & cut some carrots for my hamburger soup I had brewing for supper. Sheldon finally got back at 4.. with a salad for my lunch ;/ thanks? I was painting the base of the accent table a gorgeous new color called aurora after I had stained the top walnut. He did grab a tall nightstand in town for me, Thanks!

He then unhooked the trailer and went gopher shooting in the 19 degree sunshine. I put hardware back on, buffed the file cabinet & hauled it in to photo, stage and post.

Britt and I took Bird and Daisy out to condition while Sheldon power washed the windows. Apparently it blew off the dirt but left streaks so he buffed with windex and paper towel.

We showered and gobbled up a bowl of hot soup before Stout's arrived around 7:30. What a fun night of catching up, thanks for the visit guys! They headed home around 11:30.
