United Nations jackpot

An early morning on yet another HOT day. I fed the ponies and tried to go back to sleep but no luck. We quickly packed up all the chairs etc and hauled in to Okotoks to Tim's. Britt awoke as we were leaving and we joked her we were heading home, she did not think funny at all but was sure happy to have a hot breakfast!

Back at the field it was time to draw teams and get the ponies ready. Today there was a theme of international riders so many costumes came out. Sheldon donned a Hawaiian print shirt as his effort while Britt and I forgot all together but there were some great costumes.

The play was fun even in the soon to be 30 degree heat. A yummy potluck of nations followed with lots more visiting. This was the consolation to not being in Colorado and it turned out fun for sure and not quite the drive ;)

By 3 we loaded up and ventured home passing an accident just at the 901 corner south of us. It will turn out Britt know's the young fellow and his grandma killed, very sad! The ponies were happy to join the herd back out in the big pasture and we enjoyed the A/C yet again. Once it cooled just a wee bit in the evening I took the dogs for a nice walk.

found a nice place to roll, the overcast is still being caused by the out of control fires in both Sask and BC ;(
