another addition to the ranch.. Miss Lola

Wednesday was a overcast cool looking day. Yesterday I had responded to an ad for a Maremma puppy needing a home. I only replied because after Scooter's death, a sweet former 4-H member who raises them offered me one of her puppies to protect the horse herd. It was then I spent allot of time researching the breed as well as the great Pyrenees. Seems they are Italian sheep dogs, fitting with and Italian Mastiff big brother, right? When I saw this little one needed a home I inquired. The owner was asking $600, in the middle of a heated separation and basically looking to rehome her. I passed but today he had dropped her to $200 or good home and had many say yes but for kids or companion for other dog. He asked if I would take her knowing I wanted her for a purpose. So after chatting with the Prince, she arrived an hour later. I shall call her Lola!

 OMG... too cute

However once I sent her picture to the girls, Brittany sent about 75 other names not liking my choice. Marshmallow and Fluffy seemed a bit hard to get out when calling don't you agree Britt?

Sheldon was off to town for acupuncture as well as ran errands, getting puppy food, dropping eggs to AJ and ordering the barn wood!! I headed to the shop to paint and spend time with puppy but she ended up sleeping for most of it. I painted 2 jumbo salt and pepper sets, a frame and a sign.
Back from town with a tea, Sheldon grabbed the puppy pen (another best purchase that has been used lots) to assemble for times the puppy is along in the garage as she easily can figure how to escape Diego's fence.

After supper and a warm bath I watched a few The 100 before Britt was home from work after 8. I went back out and painted 2nd cot on everything as well as another big frame till she arrived to meet Miss Lola and get in some play time. She finally agreed after casting her long list of names she preffered that Lola suits this little one :-)
