Day 937 Shaina was up just after 7 eating porridge and getting ready for her big day. She was off about 7:45 just as Britt was getting ready to head to school.
Today my project is working on the 2 dressers I have been consigned. Vacuuming, scrubbing, removing hardware, filling holes, replacing a missing wood button, screwing a runner in, restapling most drawers with my awesome new stapler! then sanding filled many hours.
I did take a break just after 10 and trudged thru the deep drifts to toss out hay to the horses but the not so smarts stood across the fence yet again. I was like the pied piper trudging now thru the field to the trees and around back to the shop with all 9 anxiously following until they had success. Most of them stayed there until supper time cleaning every morsel up.
these 2 kitties crack me up, they were sleeping in a big hug and Diego had his head next to them. I let them in for a bit since -15 day
Shaina worked until 2 ish and was home with many stories. Now she waits to hear back if she passed the working portion of the interview. No matter it did give her a great look into the vet world.
Kaylin requested a sausage supper and her and Lexi arrived around 6. We were eating as the first of a few customers arrived. The first was a family who came and bought the desk and blue end table. They had to make 2 trips since the first one had all 4 in their little SUV.
Another customer and daughter stopped for their custom ordered growth ruler (red one), a gift for a grandma who wants to record all grand kids, great idea!
A friend and his daughter were also here as one was leaving and another coming and they picked up the dresser and headboard Shaina I I got yesterday. It was all press board and the drawers were so worn it was impossible to salvage and sell to someone but made a great personal project for the daughter.
This whirlwind of sales was finished and a short visit was enjoyed before Kaylin and Lexi headed for the city at 9. But not until I loaded my large beveled mirror into the back of her escape, a gal from Fort McMurray is driving down this weekend to pickup and Kaylin is kind enough to be the pickup point. Thanks Kazie! XOXO
I then went out and put a coat of wood conditioner on followed by the stain to finish up work on the dressers for the day. Time to update the blog and Creative Moments page before hitting the sack! whew long but prosperous day!
