832 - railing started and family birthday supper

Day 832 was a long night. I had terrible insomnia. Shaina got home from work around 10:30 but soon she was up with us too with insomnia too. It was long. last I remember was seeing 3:30 then awoke at 6:45.. geez!! Anyway we all got up.. except Britt as I went to work, Sheldon had eye appointment at 9 and Shaina worked at 9.

After his appointment Sheldon ran to the city to pick up the long awaited deck railing as well as some work shoes. I grabbed teas and spent the morning working but it was sooooo slow. I finished up at noon, grabbed a cute ice cream cake and the mail and headed home.

Back at the ranch Britt was till sleeping, most likely cause she was up when we had our insomnia watching TV. Yes she is a TV-aholic that child. I got her moving and she washed up pots and pans, fed the cats and rode Bird before she claimed feeling ill and went back to bed.
this is the spray medicine chaos Sheldon left.. arced everywhere in the garage and after trying 4 products, no luck removing!

I set up the temporary fence Bird ripped down and let the mares out to graze it down then started mowing once home and even ran out of gas in the highway ditch. Britt brought me a jerry can of gas, thanks Britt! Sheldon made it back around 2 with the railing. After eating and a rest he started at assembling it.

Glen stopped for a couple beers passing thru about 5:30, toured the shop and visited heading home at 7. Shaina got home from her long day of work at 6 and The Paetz family arrived around 7:30 bringing a yummy mac salad. I had got all the garden veggies ready to roast and made a fresh garden salad to go with the sausage fest. The birthday boy cooked the sausage up to perfection and we ate just before Kaylin and Lexi arrived before 9 after her long day of work. Once she ate I brought out the monster cake to celebrate 49 years!!
