Thanksgiving dinner #3

Today, we're off to Medicine Hat to celebrate our third Thanksgiving dinner—how fortunate are we? We began our day as usual, during my daily Spanish lesson, I received a bonus upgrade: a day of unlimited errors and no ads. We then packed a cooler with beverages and ingredients for bean dip to go. Harley was fed but seemed reluctant to go outside, sensing we were leaving.  Britt, Dave, and Cooper arrived after 9 to feed and rewrap Basil's leg. We all hopped in the car at 10, leaving the dogs behind with Sharon popping out mid-afternoon to let them out. Thanks, Sharon; this makes the quick trip so much easier for us and the dogs.

Cash will try and nap in any hay she can find, so cute

Dave caught up on some much-needed sleep on the drive. The consecutive late race nights had taken their toll. Can you believe he sheared off another horse trailer tire this weekend? B browsed her phone while I took advantage of more Spanish lessons on my bonus day. We arrived at Ma and Pa K's at noon, where, as expected, she had hot cabbage rolls and stuffed peppers ready for lunch. XOXO

We chatted as the turkey cooked, with the rest arriving after 2. I prepared my bean dip, but the timing was off, coming right after lunch and just before the turkey potluck feast. B did have some later while playing cards. The weather was splendid, above 20 degrees, so many guests ate and socialized on the deck. The house emptied soon after, with Darren's family and Riley and Kona—who was an exuberant guest—heading home.

Kaylin made this years ago in Brownies we believe and Grama still uses it XOXO

In the city the Boysis family went to the zoo

Card games began, much to Brittany and Dave's delight. Candace learned how to play smear with Sheldon's guidance, and then he joined us for a golf card game. We wrapped up by 8, loaded up, and headed west, arriving back by 10. Thank you all for the lovely family gathering. However, we did miss Shaina, Matt, Kaylin, Nathan, and our little Renny at this event. XOXO.

B and D quickly fed the animals, then headed home. Tony was here again, of course. S hit the sheets to relax and surf the net. Although I had practiced quite a bit of Spanish on the way home, I continued to take advantage of my bonus day.
