The sunny Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend began with temperatures around zero but still presented beautiful weather for October. We started our day with the usual coffee in bed, accompanied by brain games and browsing Instagram/X. After breakfast, S went to church while I showered, pruned my schefflera bush, and completed the supplement order. I also managed to write a tutorial on black press back dining chairs tutorial
After returning from church around noon, we packed up and headed for the city. We made a quick stop at Costco to return some extra yard lights and pick up a few things before continuing west. With Renn still asleep, we dashed into the mall to exchange a faulty Saje diffuser and return some online-ordered oils that weren't to my liking. Next to Costco, this company has the best returns and customer service.
At Kaylin's, we enjoyed a cold beer and caught up with her while Nathan and Renn wrapped up their naps. Once they were up, we seized the opportunity to take a walk in the splendid 20+ degree weather, with the girls wearing their Reebok's and Nathan and Beans joining us.
Back at their place, S grilled the steaks we brought along with a potato pack. I whipped up a tasty salad to complement the meal, and we enjoyed a delightful Thanksgiving dinner at their new dining table. Renn, true to form, had her beloved alphagettis and sported her Flames jersey for the hockey game after. We left after the first period, listening to the game on the radio as we drove home. A heartfelt thanks to them for a wonderful afternoon of fun. XOXO
