AJ chopped off my hair ... again

Snow blanketed the ground, signaling the arrival or nearness of winter. Following our usual routine, I took a shower and then went out to apply another layer of stain oil to the desk parts. They're looking good but might need one more layer. I also applied another layer of wax to the dresser top. S cleared out the garbage from the house and shop, then went to collect the mail, which included a parcel with new health supplements. Additionally, there was an uncancelled Hello Fresh box at the gate, so now we have three meals for four people.

I put on my coveralls and harvested some beets, trimming the tops to give to Amanda for Craig. He had missed out on the previous batches I brought in, as well as a box of beet roots only from his sister. S loaded up a bison and cow skulls as well. After noon, we drove to town, dropping off parts at Matt's and disposing of the trash at the dump. He dropped me off, along with the heads and beet tops, at Amanda's. She cut my hair while he ran errands and picked up the Opa I had ordered during my haircut.

yep that is all my hair in the dust pan

He picked me up, and once we were back home, we had lunch before 2 PM. The sun was shining brightly by then. I put on my coveralls again and took Harley out to feed Bird. While she was eating, I went to the mezzanine and hauled a bale over for them, along with a couple of apples. Back inside, I resumed working on tutorials. When S woke up, he used the skid steer to bring over some wood, which he then chopped and stacked at the front door. Afterward, he settled into the big brown chair to browse on his laptop.

I did some Spanish lessons in the sunshine at the kitchen island while S enjoyed a hot tub. Today would have been my parents' 58th anniversary; it's surreal that he's not here. It's also been a year since Craig lost his mom last week, which is hard to believe. I made one of the HelloFresh meals - a very basic cottage pie. S thought it had too much potato, but I'm sure Shaina would have found it delicious. He watched a hockey night marathon while I finished up some blog work and binge-watched Selling Sunset. Following another win by the Flames, he joined me, and we watched The Lincoln Lawyer until he fell asleep, and then I started watching a new baking show.
