Bit of rain overnight

I woke up early at 7, and to my surprise, it was damp outside. There didn't seem to be much rain, just over a tenth of an inch (about 3ml), but every little bit helps. I made some coffee and started working on blog posts. I posted one this morning and will post another later today. S got up before 9 for his coffee.

The morning was sunny with hardly any wind. I watered the front planters, transplanted some cosmos, and planted Egyptian walking onions alongside the asparagus. In the storage trailer, I found Shaina's missing TV stand to take to the city for Emily. S maneuvered the dump trailer to the shop and began loading it with items to take to the dump.

How does one lose one light cover??

This sink needs to be replaced, S thinks it just needs cleaning

This is the inside of the upper cabinets, greasy grimy crud and oil stains

ick at all the dirt that catches between the cracks

I headed to town at 11:30 to join Sharon and Coreena for Sharon's birthday lunch. Before heading to the golf course, I stopped by the rental to spray the ceiling with bleach again and to measure the OSB depth. We girls had another wonderful three-hour catch-up on the golf course deck.

I returned to the rental to spray once more and discovered S had just arrived to round up spray the gravel in the backyard, which is overrun with the invasive creeping bellflower. We took measurements for the OSB and flooring square footage. Additionally, I noted down the items we need to find, such as registers, lights, and a replacement for the fridge crisper drawer they damaged. The extent of the damage they caused is simply appalling. During my visit, the renter had the audacity to text Sheldon inquiring about the return of the damage deposit soon. Absolutely not, my friend; in fact, you owe us.

Seems like the entry floor has never been washed.. YUCK

How does one find a replacement fridge drawer?

We wrapped up and made it back to the ranch by 4:30. I had scheduled a pickup for a girl's bedroom suite I had advertised for 5 o'clock. In the meantime, I busied myself with more gardening. They got there around 5:15, having missed our sign. The young lady and I transferred the furniture from the storage trailer to her mother's truck, as her mother was incapacitated to lift and Sheldon was nursing a sprained ankle. I realized I recognized the mother; we had met at last year's Strathmore Stampede. Her husband once worked with Sheldon in Hanna. Indeed, it's a small world.

I forgot the trunk lid had this engraved. What the heck??

The weather this evening was wonderful. I walked Harley, but the mosquitoes were terrible. Back home, I attempted to weed, but the mosquitoes were relentless there as well. S warmed up some ribs while watching the big hockey game. H and I tried to watch Netflix on my iPad on the deck, but the mosquitoes were persistent. It's time for another detox bath, which includes Epsom salts, baking soda, apple cider vinegar, coconut oil, and some lavender oil. S was pleased with the Oilers' 2nd loss. After my soak I moved to bed to watch Netflix on the big TV before lights out.
