Archer's first communion

After our usual coffee start, I uploaded all the videos and photos from Friday and managed to post them before going to town for church. Today marks Archer's special occasion - his first communion. Congratulations, Archie! XOXO Following the service, we enjoyed some snacks and took a few photos. Then, we headed back to Paetz's for a delicious lunch featuring pulled pork and coleslaw. Thanks to everyone, it was scrumptious. The afternoon was spent visiting, with the girls inside and the guys out on the deck.

We also took a mock photo from last weekend we missed getting with Asher.

It's 30 degrees outside as we head home at 3. Britt needed assistance with trimming Beibs' feet, so I changed and lent a hand. S settled down to browse on his laptop. B packed up her pets and returned to town before 4:30. I got working on todays blog.

The sunshine beckoned me outside to play games online on the deck. S was engrossed in a book in big brown. Britt returned after 7, just as I was heading inside and the wind began to rise. I changed clothes while she rounded up the horses. Together, we saddled up and rode amidst the gusty winds, grateful for the absence of bugs and the coolness it brought. Meanwhile, Sharon made a brief stop to inspect Timba's grazing muzzle that had been fitted earlier in the day. And Dave was out to visit.

Dave and S were enjoying a beer and conversation when I walked in from untacking. B released Switch after feeding Roo, then fed Bird, and finally, she, Dave, and Cooper departed for home before 9:30.
