How can it be January 15th already? It started -31 but the day gets warmer with full on sun. We had our coffee in bed playing Flow challenging each other. S won ;( Moving to the island with another cup to play Tantrix, Dave and Cooper arrived at 9:30. He grabbed a coffee and joined in.
We had a bowl of soup while each doing a personal puzzle challenge. S checked the shinny schedule and found it earlier than he thought. They both jumped in Dave's truck and headed to town at 1. It is now -20 so I bundled up and headed out to take of horse blankets. The dogs came out for a romp too. It seems balmy at this temperature. the cats were kicked out for a bit too. I picked out feet and took off all blankets but Beibs who was being an ass to catch and Timba who I will leave for Sharon to decide. His feet were picked out though as walking lame with ice balls again.
Inside I worked on the blog posts and a we bit of accounting. Check out yet another brewery tour day in Palm Springs.
The boys were back at 3:30 from hockey. Dave bribed Beibs to get his blanket off then he set off back to Edmonton after his 6 day polar vortex vacation. S and I played some more Tantrix games with a cold beer.
Supper was the last salvaged GoodFood meal- mushroom pork chops. It was tasty. It was then back to tiles and card games with sports in the background. Holiday in US has all kinds of games on all day. B arrived home with takeout. She ate then fed Bird. She thought Timba was truly lame and let Sharon know. She was off at 8 to get some rest.
Around 9, we wrapped up the card game having home made ice cream for s and yogurt bowl for me. The temp was-21. I read in bed tickling S back. He looked over to see the temperature was -15 before 10:30. The deep freeze has broken! Tonight Renn starts a sleep program, send the good vibes everyone!
