Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!! My valentine Harley wanted out at 5 am then to the garage and I slept till after 7:30. Today is house cleaning day and I did not get stuff tidied up so time to get busy. I was still putting things in their homes when the cleaner and her Mom arrived just before 9. Harley was just fed but she did get to come greet them as I got my coffee I had made. I then was out to work in the garage while they cleaned. I gave H her bison leg to wok on and keep busy out in the brisk -4.

This was my Valentine's post 5 years ago

Sheldon and I had a quick chat in his busy day then one with Mom to plan Dad’s birthday this weekend. The companion company has offered to bring Dad to Oyen for his birthday, this is something I think he would be so excited to do. Friends could stop for a quick visit during the day followed up with a family supper. I opened the paint parcel H and I picked up at the gate the other day. Looks like I am stocked for paint brushes.

A new project: a tall wine case was then cleaned up and given a coat of soft pink paint after pulling out a few transfers and deciding which one and color to use on it. I let the cats out into the dreary overcast day.

The gals finished their cleaning at 11:30 confessing to breaking my orchid pot then were off. A few spots were wiped where more kombucha had sprayed but they missed and laundry was started. I grabbed a bologna sandwich Before I glued and painted the pot hoping it will work till I find a replacement. The wine box was sanded and I started with the cherry transfers. Bad idea as the fresh paint was lifting so I left it to dry overnight. I cleaned up another project; a wooden desk tray. This was scuff sanded and painted it the soft green of the lazy Susan.

Inside With a kombucha I wrote a Hometalk post for the green magazine rack and worked on the blog listening to a podcast. While H ate her supper I added a second coat of green to the tray. I finished the beef broth for supper while catching the news. B and Coop arrived around 6:30 mixed the feed and headed out. Her swelling is finally coming down but the greens, reds and purples are still prevalent. She is feeling better with only a cheek ulcer causing pain. I bundled up and joined her to walk the horses east gate around to the paddocks seeing they are only eating the one snow pile as their water source. The snow started to lightly fall as we made our journey around. B was then off for home as I took the cats soft food then back in to finish the blog. Time to relax in the bath for my Valentines treat starting a new series called Inventing Anna then into bed to finish the first episode and listen to some podcasts.
